I don't know why but genetics seem to play a lot into calves, yes.. squat will build calves but not that much, not for me at least. maybe adding some calf raises? I've seen a lot of curlbros who do nothing but chest and bicep everyday but still have amazing calves and ive seen some people who squat 500+ and still have sissy calves.
