Guys do u still remember what were the essay questions asked
to you in the UP law exams?
By the way what is the average age of law students in UP?
Are there many 24s and 25s there?
Assess the Human Rights Situation in the Philippines (or something like that) I don't quite remember the exact wording but it's definitely about human rights.
rank of top law schools according to passing rate (bar 2000):Those who are incoming freshmen in Ateneo Law will be happy to know that our school is the topnotcher in terms of passing rate. 90% of the Ateneans who took the bar passed, 85% of the Bedans who took the bar passed, 70% of the UP students who took the bar passed. Sayang Ateneo de Davao, they were number 3 last year, number 4 na lang this year.
1. ateneo = 89%
2. san beda = 84%
3. ust = 78%
4. up = 70%
UP doesn't accept transferees. you have to start all over. just don't tell them you already came from another law school.Originally posted by elephantsquest
Does anyone know if UP will accept transferees and if it doesn't will it instead accept a student who is willing to repeat the first two years of law school
Isn't it a question in the application form if you come from another school? If you falsify it then that would be grounds for non acceptance if they found out, right?Originally posted by eponine07

if you're starting over as a fresman anyway, what's the point of asking if you're coming from another law school? i don't think it's asked.
from what i've heard, ateneo and u.p. (and quite possibly san beda) do not accept transferees.
Just like in ateneo, is there free internet in UP and San Beda?
Green grin, but are Up and Ateneo suspicious about guys and girls who might have been law students from other schools.Originally posted by green grin

Will they really investigate if they were law students from other schools?
i don't see why u.p. or ateneo would inquire if you were formerly a law student in another school if you'll be coming in as a fresman anyway, archimedes. i don't remember being asked that when i took the entrance exam for ateneo law or anytime thereafter.
ateneo probably doesn't accept transferees because they have a unique degree program (JD for ateneo, LLB for the others). i'm not sure about this and less so about u.p.![]()
Hi!
I remember being asked in both UP and Ateneo applic forms if I have enrolled in another law school, or have taken classes in other law schools.
I think they ask this, because they have a policy (raw) of not accepting those who flunk out of other schools. My friend who flunked out of Ateneo took the UP LAE, passed, then he was in the interview, the interviewers found out that he flunked out of Ateneo (he wrote it in his applic form), and they told him, they don't accept flunkees from other school. Then, they made fun of him for sometime before letting him off.
he should sue those people for making fun of him.
i'm serious.
i had a couple of classmates in UP law who were from ateneo law ans san beda law. according to them, they weren't really going to flunk, but they wanted to get into UP law. they didn't tell the interviewers that they already took classes in other law schools, nor did they indicate that fact in their application forms. last i remember, they graduated na last april.
on the other hand, another friend of mine used to go to ateneo law. he took the LAE twice, passed both times, but during the interviews, he told the interviewers that he already took classes in ateneo, but he was in no danger of flunking. they didn't accept him on the first try, but after two years in ateneo law, as well as another LAE and interview session, he finally got in. i think he's now in his fourth year.
just a thought.
