What can you say about Philippine Christian University status? Is it okay to enroll there?
HI!
Well, I dont want to say anything about Arellano, not from the school, so I'd let those who graduated from this school do the marketing for their Alma Mater.
As to FEU, recently bumaba ang passing rates ng FEU-IL, but its still in the Top 10 Law Schools for the past 10 years,
and as of last year's Bar exams naka more than 100plus passers ata ang FEU.
also in terms of History, FEU is 4th among law schools as to number of Topnotchers, 44 all in all, and is still 4th as to number of first placers in the Bar, having 4.
So medyo tried and tested na ang IL ng FEU for the past century.
And medyo nakaka inspire din kasing magaral, knowing some of your alumni was able to compete with the best law schools around like UP, Ateneo, San Beda.
It's still upto you though, Im just saying some of the advantages you can get when you apply in FEU.
I got myself enrolled in Arellano, Executive Class. Nakakatakot, pero at the same time, nakaka-excite!
Any tips, guys?
Criminal Law 1
Persons and Family Relations
Statutory Construction
Legal Ethics
Legal Research & Writing
So far, I still have no idea kung sino magiging prof ko eh. But I'm hoping that maaayos sila~
@dashingdevonair, pristonpiker, nikkilove, trogdolyte, atbp.
Hey guys. Gusto ko lang matanong, is there a way to get through law school faster than the typical 4 years? Also, I plan to work while studying so is there a way to get through law instead of the 5 years? What programs or schools have "fast tracks"? Thanks
Ive read my friend's exams sa FEU-IL,
and pag recitation of course youd be challenged by the professor,
so malaking factor din talaga yung medyo magaling kang mag english,
so pagisipan mo. kung tingin mo na kakayanin mo, go ahead.
btw. that friend of mine, passed the boards, last year, take one. So I'd know effective yung style nya.
try reading the explanation of some senator- judges who are lawyers, and how they constructed their explanation re. their votes in the Corona trial.
It would give you some idea, how to answer in law schools. Good luck.![]()
There is none. The Rules of Court requires for admission to the bar that you "have regularly studied law for four years," among others.
Yes. Some law schools are working student-friendly, meaning their classes are mostly during the evening (i.e., after office hours) and on weekends. San Beda and San Sebastian yata ganun. Regular load 'yan so you can finish your law studies in four years.

hmmm... no. you need to be able to expound your legal reasoning clearly in writing. you also need to speak well in daily recits. few things are more frustrating to read than poorly written pleadings and clumsily explained answers. law professors and especially bar examiners are not that generous. don't worry, though. napa-practice naman yan.
Guys, I need your help. We had just our orientation yesterday and this one prof of mine gave us assignment: write five-page essay on the Philippine Incorporation Clause. Honestly, I don't have an idea what to write, I mean, what kind of essay? That how plain his instruction is. Hindi na kami nakapagtanong kasi it was given through text to a higher year student. Isa pa, he wants us to read Art 2 of Consti Law, are we jumping on the first article? Please reply, its deadline is on our first meeting. Thanks.
article I is on national territory. it's terribly boring. and personally, i don't think it can be fully discussed without even a rudimentary understanding of some international law concepts.
feeling ko lang the assignment was given to make sure the students know something about the incorporation clause. since you're in article II, i would think your professor meant article II section 2 of the constitution. it says: "the philippines renounces war as an instrument of national policy, adopts the generally accepted principles of international law as part of the law of the land and adheres to the policy of peace, equality, justice, freedom, cooperation, and amity with all nations." it describes the relationship of international law and domestic in that the "generally accepted principles of international law" are, by express constitutional provision, adopted or incorporated as part of the law of the land. dean magallona says that under the doctrine of incorporation, customary norms of international law are considered part of domestic law and may be enforced as such, without need for our legislative body to enact it as a law.
you can start from there. you can use bernas' consti law book and maybe even dean magallona's PIL book as references. if you're hardcore, you can consult other secondary sources, like foreign (mostly american) reference books to further inform yourself on the topic. friend, go lang nang go. first assignment nyo yan so hindi mage-expect ang prof mo ng pang-law journal article.![]()
hi guys!
im currently working in makati with 1 to 10 pm shift. im planning to enroll next sem by Oct since it's already June and I need to align it first to my manager before making my decision.
My sister just recently passed the bar (Nov 2011). Her prep course is pol sci. She graduated (pol sci) cum laude, that's why she was given a 1 yr 50% discount during first yr. I included this info because I also graduated laude - Bs Accountancy. Im a CPA and my work
now is not that hard/ demanding. My sister has a job in a Law firm here in Makati and I saw to her the total fulfillment of having a nice career.
I'm planning to enroll to Arellano for Sat and Sun. They are only giving 50% scholarships for the whole first yr, meaning first and second sem. And i heard that UST does not only give discount but also book and stipend allowances for those w/ latin honors during college. But UST doesnt have a weekend class. I cant attend weekday class since my work is 1 to 10pm. and I dont want also to just enter in a Law school na kahit saan saan lang at basta basta nalang papasok
na ganun without solid plan. Do you think Sat and Sunday classes is good enough? or do i need to sacrifice my job and change my working schedule to 8am to 5pm just to attend weekday class like Ust and beda which give more discounts and allowances and mas gusto ko din kasinung tuluy tuloy ang study period para gumagana ang utak hndi lang tuwing Sat and Sun. I have still 4 to 5 months to really weigh my decision and to choose what Law school to enter. Sana may mga subjects na open pa for the second semester na pang first sem. I hope so meron.
Im a person who believes that if you put ur 100% effort plus faith to God, u'll get what u want. My sister is really pushing me to go to Law, and gusto ko naman para magamit ko mga books at review materials nya. hehe. I hope u'll gonna help me on my dilemma. I'll wait for ur response guys. Thanks in advance. God bless!
Guys any Civil Procedure book suggestion?
By the way, I found this online MCQ site -> http://lawtechworld.com/blog/
Hello guys. I am a incoming 2nd year law student. I am thinking to stop for this school year because I felt, I lost the determination/motivation to continue law school. I think, I need to contemplate and practice/enhance my reading comprehension and improve a well balance study habit. Is it okay to stop for awhile? What will be the consequences? If ever, I will continue, I prefer to continue law school in Manila. Is it okay? What do you guys think? And what other law schools there in Manila, you can recommend? Excluding Ateneo, U.P, U.S.T, Arellano and San Beda. Thanks.![]()
