The Big 3: are they the life-blood of UAAP?

    True or not?

    please discuss!

Big 3: ATENEO, UP AND UST.

  4. #4
big three sa academics: UP, UST, Ateneo... i dont usually understand how sometimes its UP, DLSU and Ateneo and UST gets booted out. if it's top three based on academics, board exams palang alam na na kasali UST. good facilities and rich students are never tantamount to an excellent school. DLSU has better reputation than UST ( since mga pinoy tuwang tuwa sa mga pasosyal ) pero if you look past the package, UST is a better institution ( or medyo biased ako kasi thomasian ako ). para walang away, dapat big 4 nalang, mahirap pag isipan kung sino isasali between UST and DLSU at gulo ito.

    back on topic:

kung sino mang big 3 ang tinutukoy mo, UAAP is not dependent on only 3 schools. UAAP will make it without the big 3, maybe not as glam as it is now, pero kaya. the league is about sports hindi negosyo, on that note, i believe UAAP will survive.

i-close na ang thread na to dahil magiging pugad lang to ng gulo, nasesense ko na :P

    BIG 3?
    Shell, Petron, and Caltex?
    -----------

I agree to one of the pexer, "magiging pugad ng kaguluhan itong thread na ito." I sense it, too.

UP can actually leave the uaap right now and it won't matter.

I agree. Tanggalin mo ang DLSU at ADMU sa UAAP, tingnan mo mawawala ang advertisers. Remember 2006? More than half of the advertisers and nag pullout dahil suspended nun ang DLSU.

Big three? Sa history ng UAAP ang considered na big three ay UP, UST and NU.

I definitely agree with this one. La Salle in the Big 3? if you talk about being rich, yes, but academics?hell no! well except to their accountancy course, i must admit they have an excellent program but other than that?pasosyal nalang..just because they are rich and got good facilities they already think they are the no.3 school in the country.....when in fact there is only the "big two".

center of excellence ang engineering courses sa la salle, so may bubuga talaga yan.

    ONE COLOR, ONE GOAL

lugar na naman ito para magsimula ng away. tsktsk

"As of now, only four of the eight member universities participate in all sports, namely the Ateneo de Manila University, the De La Salle University, the University of the Philippines, and the University of Santo Tomas." - so kung ito man ang basehan, oo ang sagot sa tanong mo. (objectivity)

UST? and DLSU? iba naman kasi ang inooffer nilang courses... in terms of Medicine and the like then UST #1 i can say... pero kung ibang course like business and IT then DLSU.... naging image lang ng DLSU ang sosyal dahil mahal ang tuition which is not reality anymore...UST mahal na din ang tuition konti nalang ang difference ng tuition ng DLSU and UST
