This year might be one of the best uaap cheerdance competitions in terms of skills as we see most the teams compete outside UAAP.

Tosses:
Uulan na ba ng double full twisters this year?
UP has 2 (UAAP) (depends kung may new recruit/s who can do the same)
FEU has 1 (UAAP/NCC) (magiging 2 kapag nag-compete na ulit yung nag double sa kanila nung 2009)
DLSU has 1 (UAAP/NCC/Fil-Oil)
NU has 1 (same as UP)
ADMU has 1 (checked Fil-Oil 2012 vid, not in good form pero may 3 months pa to practice)
UST has 1 (2010)

FEU has 7 (2010), 5 in 2011(UAAP/NCC)

DLSU only has 2 (Fil-Oil/NCC)
ADMU/ADU has 1 (UAAP)
NU has 1 (UAAP, dadami pa to due to their recruits)

anlakas ng pakiramdam kong astig ang NU PEP SQUAD this year. or at least makapasok sila sa TOP 4, kasama ang ADMU. :-)

feeling ko din, babaha ng 1-1-1s, 2-2-3s, and even 3-3-4's, ,magpapagalingan ang lahat sa mounting/dismounting techniques.

saka malakas ang kutob kong galing sa BBB ang samsung stunner tihs year (although mas astig kung sa UP PEP pa rin. toinks!).

i hope the NU admin and coaches recognize amateurism (no money should be involved in recruiting members).

kahit college pa yan, kapag binabayaran mo, aba'y professional na yan.

if it were up to me, dapat walang athletic scholarships sa UAAP, just like in the Ivy League.

uaap, or college athletics for that matter, is just a sideshow.

that's it.

an equalizer for the not so academically excellent schools.

a social glue for warring universities.

not a marketing tool. the marketing tool SHOULD be academics. that's what university life is for, after all.

wala lang. i'm just so scared na baka mag-ala japan all-girls team ang NU pep if money gets involved.

I agree. Based on their performances in NCC and Fil-Oil cheerleading, ADMU BBB has the best chance of penetrating the top 3.

Good luck sa lahat ng competing teams. Ang inaabangan ko talaga eh NU pati Animo Squad, mukhang malaking isda mabibingwit nila this season.

As for UP given na yan, sabi nga ng isang UP Pexer "this will be an easy 3-peat for UP" this season kapag nagkataon. Pero hindi pahuhuli ang FEU Cheering Squad namin, abangan pa rin natin 'yan bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! . UST will give us a good fight basta may bago at maganda yung transition, honestly, hindi pa rin ako makagetover sa 2009 performance nila, nasa pad ko nga siya eh at pinaparinig ko palagi kay eustace, after 2009 pangit na.

As for FEU, mas maganda sana kung yung 4-3-3 nila yung pinost. Favorite ko rin yun eh. Hehe.

I dont think we, UP Pex supporters, want to claim as early as now the coveted title. With all the rumors, developments, and pre-season competitions of the other squads, it really is premature to tell who will be this year's top 3. Marami pang time to practice, perfect and polish their routines. As much as we want a three-peat, it still wont be an easy journey for the squad.

But I think the UP community will agree with me that we're just happy and confident Pep can live up to the expectations because of their continuous training. Yun lang muna panghahawakan namin. We're all excited to see what they can offer this time around and how they'll top last year's routine (the best to date, IMO).

On the other hand, i have high expectations for BBB possibly coming back again sa top 3. and as always, pressure din sa host school to do well. infairness, both are really getting better so it's not impossible for them to shake things up.

Still, UP for the win! Pero FEU pa rin ang closest competitor malamang.

Even if its too early, here is my bet results:

1. FEU/UP
2. ADMU/DLSU
3. NU/ADU
4. UE/UST

-ADMU (FilOil and NCC advantage)
-DLSU (FilOil and NCC advantage)
-NU (FilOil Great routines new gymnast recruits)
-UST (Nganga! Haha Joke...Peace to all Thomasians...Pero I have this strong feeling that they still have the capacity of pulling up great surprises...That's The Gawi Way)
