Grabe, dalawa fail ko sa 1st PB ng CPAR: BLT at P2. Okay lang sana yung Taxation, nadale ako sa Business Law.

ang alam ko zero-based.. hindi ko lang alam kung totoo yung mga bali-balitang nagkakaroon DAW ng "adjustments".. alam mo na, maraming speculations.. PRC at BOA lang siguro ang makakasagot nyan..

According kay Sir Rodel Roque, hindi raw naka zero-based yung exam. But still we don't know.

According kay Sir German, P2 Reviewer of CPAR, sa P2 yata i-introduce ang bagong standards especially sa Business Combination and Joint Venture. So dapat makapasa na ako kasi madadagdagan na naman ang aaralin ko. Hehehe

yung PFRS for SMEs.. i'm sure mas mai-incorporate na sa mga succeeding board exams.. nag start kasi yan last oct 2011 pero pahapyaw hapyaw lang eh..

Sir Larry Tan, penge po sana ng advice sa pag te-take ng October 2012 exam. Ganito po ang situation ko:

I graduated from a provincial school and came here to Manila for my review, in PRTC. And during the normal review classes, parang okay naman, makakasunod na rin po ako sa mga lectures. Ang routine ko po kasi, the day before sinasagutan ko na ang mga questions sa handouts, particularly yung nasa killer subjects katulad ng AP, P1, Tax, MAS, P2. Nag-aaral na rin po ako ng mabuti. As much as possible, tina-try ko na i-reach yung 6-8 hours na rule. 1 week before pre-board binalikan ko yung mga topics na linecture before (pero may mga iba na hindi na talaga kayang balikan. Gaya nga P2, puro scan2x nalang).

Ayun, dumating ang first preboard at eto po ang mga results ko (approximates):

General Average: 67%; TOA:84%; AT: 77%; MAS: 81%; AP:46%; P1:58%; P2:60%; BL: 65%; T:62%


After that, I change my strategy. If before, I study and answer handouts for each topics one day ahead of the lecture (with special attention given to MAS and P2), ngayon, ini-isa-isa ko ang mga weakest subject ko. Like may target ako na dapat matapus ko talaga after 1 week. For example, right now, inuubos ko po ang Liabs. in p1 so I can move on to auditing probs, at syempre hindi ko naman po pinabayaan yung iban subjects. Pero masyadong significant ang cut-back ko na time for those other topics. In a nuteshell, focus ko ngayon is in order of priority: P1-AP, P2, MAS, BLT, AT, TOA.

Now question ko po Sir is: Is it be advisable for me to take the exam in October with grades like these? And what are the things that I can do, in terms of learning techniques and strategies, to better my chances of passing. Make mention nalang ako po that this is my first formal review. Noong undergrad, may isang sem rin kami na devoted lahat sa review. Need your help Sir! Thanks!

Actually matataas ang mga grades mo since zero-based sa PRTC, suggest ko i-cluster mo TOA-P1-AP, since related sila. for BLT & AT, make sure to get as much external materials as possible. Good luck, if you aim for top 10, mag may 2013 board exam ka na.

(nahiya ako in person eh) kung paano ko ihahandle yung combined classes (wala na po bang tulugan?). halos first view na po kasi sakin na lahat ng topic pero kaya naman habulin ngayun (pero wala ng tulugan) haha. nag sisisi nadin po ako na di ko tinapos yung undergrad review ko. hay,

tapos na pressured pa ko lalo nung nasama ako sa listahan. dami kung hinulaan lalo na sa Mas theory part nagulat nalang ako tumama.

tapos kinakabahan lang ako kasi feel ko nasanay lang ako sa AT/TOA questions ang PRTC for the first preboard. tapos yung mga classmates ko na nag rereview sa RESA na nag take sa PRTC open preboard, sabi nila madali lang daw yung theory preboard sa prtc compared sa resa. (pati yung law nila pangbar exams).

mm.. paano po ba kayo nag aaral nung nag rereview kayo? kumukuha po ba kayo ng review materials outside PRTC dati?
advisable ba or maguguluhan lang ako?

Sir larry, pa advice naman po,, currently regular reviewee po ako ng prtc, after first pb, eto po grade q, ave 72, toa 87.5, at 80, p2 80, p1 74, blt 65.71, ap 60, mas 57.14, sori po mas, graduate po ** magna cum laude from province, tapos, after fopb, andami pa dapat aralin, natatakot po ** na bumagsak ** in any one of the subjects, dyahe ,nak2hya pag nangyari, kung sa may 2013 naman po, wala nq schlarshp, tapos dapat nd rin magtrabho para in house, kaso bka may mgbgo s scope ng exam if nd ** mg eenrol, tapos nkwento nyo rin po c mr kotah 6th placer, na parang dahl ang preboard nya ay d as expected, he go for may,..pag nag may **,bka maubos n *** desire q lalo pat malalaman na nd ** ngtake, wala nq muka ihaharap. Pag october naman, maaaring pumasa at ** n matapos journey q, nd topnotcher, panu na *** nais ng skul at ko at revw coordintor, i mean *** twala nila *** dhl hangang pagpasa *** magagawa q dis oct, or worse to fail,. Papaano po ba ako dapat mgdecide, i felt small po kc. Tnx

Kung gusto mo mag top 10, suggest ko mag May ka na, masyadong tight ang October-board review 14 weeks lang, unlike May board na umaabot ng 18 weeks. Nung time ko, PRTC materials lang ginamit ko, since wala naman akong kakilala from other review centers. Kung bar-exam type of questions lang kelangan mo, meron ako nun, hiramin mo kay Nathaniel, pinahiram ko sa kanya, naka booklet format yun around 150 questions. Usap tayo pagbalik ko.
