tapos yung validity ng tourist visa starts after ma-approve right?

last question (for the day ).
currently, nagbabasa ako sa website ng canadain embassy. tapos nabasa ko na yung expiry date on the visa is the last day that you can enter canada, and not the day that you must leave canada.

example na-approve visa ko January, so expiry date nya is June? pero pwede na pumasok ako sa canada ng June, then umuwi ng July na? thanks

At, oo, tama 'yan.

Is it true na yung single entry visa, pwedeng gamitin for multiple entries from the US throughout the validity of the visa? Anyone who has actually tried this?

For Canadian tourist visa, normally it would take one to two weeks to get your papers and passport back. The validity doesn't necessarily starts on the day of approval. It depends to the intended date of departure and the length of your visa.

I'll give you a couple of examples:

    Case 1

Date of application - Jan 2010
Intended departure date - March 2010
Visa Approved - Two Years Multiple Entry
Visa validity is from Jan x, 2010 to Jan x, 2012

    Case 2

Date of application - Jan 2010
Intended departure date - March 2010
Visa Approved - 6 months single entry
Visa validity is from March x, 2010 to August x, 2010

Length of visa and intended date of departure are both of consideration by the consul.

You know what? It all depends how much money would you like to spend for your visit. Toronto is a beautiful city and there are a lot of attractions. I also suggest that you visit neighboring cities too and not limit yourself for TO.

If you plan your trips carefully, I would say that two weeks is a good time frame to visit the major attractions in the Greater Toronto Area. Swing by Niagara Falls if you haven't been there. It's about a couple of hours drive from TO.

yes, this is true. sayang nga nung nag-apply ako ng visa, single na lang sana kinuha ko. BTW, i'm here in Seattle area kaya that time naisipan ko kuha ng multiple since pwede ako pumunta ng Vancouver anytime since less than 3 hours away lang ito.

In most cases parents that are invited by their kids to visit them in Canada are given visas even the parents are unemployed / retired in the Philippines. Since parents are already old, mostlikely, they are not going to Canada to look for employment unlike the younger generations.

If you'll invite your mom, make sure that you would mention in your invitation that you would be responsible for all of her expenses. Mention too that you haven't seen her for a long time and it would be an opportunity for her to see how beautiful Canada is. You will tour her to Blah-blah-blah.

Include employment certificate and a copy of your status in Canada. Ask her to apply for a single entry visa since it's her first time. You could check the format of a letter of invitation on the web.

If you are a residence of USA, you don't need a visa.

Persons lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence who are in possession of their alien registration card (Green card) or can provide other evidence of permanent residence.

If you have valid CAN visa, you can use it many time basta galing ka sa US border.

Hi.. I'm planning to go to canada (toronto) to visit my aunts and cousins there (canadian citizen na sila lahat)... I just want to ask my chances of approval given my profile:

    1) female, 24, single
    2) working in an IT company (4 yrs). gross salary in the range of 30-50k/month
    3) was assigned to work in dublin for almost a year
    4) i got uk and schengen tourist visa which i applied during my stay in dublin
    5) been to hong kong, macau, singapore
    6) savings in bank around 500k.
    7) has been denied twice for south korea visa (this year lang)
    8) when i and my lola applied for a visa (more than 10 years ago), i think we were denied. basta bata pa ako nun.

natatakot kasi ako ma-deny ng canadain visa kasi baka mahirapan na ako mag-apply if other embassies see na nadeny ako sa canada.. please advice. thanks

Hi just want to share this.

I filed for Visitor's Visa to Canada through CIC in Coastal Mall last July 12, 2010 and they said just wait for 15 working days up to one month. Until now, I haven't heard anything from them. I keep on following up my application but still, they said just wait. I'm kind of agonizing what happened to my application.

    What gives?

^ diba dapat sila mag-pickup ng documents? or may other way pala to submit requirements?

It's really hard to say. Hindi parepareho ang mga consuls na nageevaluate. A cousin of mine got a Schengen visa and had been travelling to european countries. She got a good job and a son in Pnas therefore, she got grounds to return. It was a surprised to us that she was denied of a Canadian tourist visa.

A sister of a friend of mine was able to get a tourist visa. She was single, working in a low paying charity institution in Manila, haven't been out to any country. Figure it out.

If I were you, I will take my chance. No guts, no glory!
