Chinese word iyan for "Filipino" at medyo derogatory ito.

It means 'Filipino Dish'. And yes it's a condescending term.

I hope the mods here could replace it with Filipino Food/Dish

I couldn't find any decent Asian, especially Filipino, food in L.A. Kaya nagpakasawa ako sa Mexican food.

In the case of Filipino food, I'd always compare it to homecooking.

He/She could have easily said Filipino food, this alone makes you wonder the real agenda of this thread.

It is not derogatory but plain dumb, using a foreign language in PINOYexchange.

Masarap naman sa Dj's Bibingkahan, Manila Sunset, Kainan Nino, Goldilocks and...etc.

For Mexican food, Chipotle is very good or those Mexican lunch trucks., or Pollo Loco pala, masarap din.

baket 'hwana chai' ang ginamit momg term? on a filipino messageboard pa.

even i think it's a tad bit inappropriate term to use in this boards.

    ------------------

pero, imo, di ko gusto filipino food abroad. for some reason, they taste.. different??

can't put my finger into it. pero there is that distinct flavor that says, 'lol, i'm cooked in north america, lol!"

    Chai = Dish/Meal/Food

    Balik na naman si Makati_Girl.

Huwanah is a term for a barbarian or uncivilized person, ayan ang natutunan ko sa iskuwelahang munti.

I don't get offended when they call me ****** or beho, huwag lang "tulo laway", dahil that person better be good looking than Maricar Reyes to say that to me para hindi ako magalit.

yeah, same as the Pinoys telling me singkit, chekwa or beho, kaya hindi ako makabuwelta sa kanila nuon na tawagin din silang ****** or tsekwa. But I think those days are gone now, since marami ng mixed relationships and a lot of Pinoys ay singkit kahit na walang dugong Chinese.

Halos patay na yung mga matatandang Chinese na mahilig gumamit niyan as an insult to Filipinos when they are talking to their fellow Chinese.

kaso nagka-anakan sila sila... Inanakan ni Apeh na may-ari ng grocery yung mga tindera nila, tinanan ni Procorpio yung anak ng amo niyang ******...etc.. and then comes the Tsinoys!!!

i meant it's only used for filipinos.

filipinos are called 'barbarians', while americans are still called americans.
