i think it wld be a battle among: mark caguioa , michael hrabak & john arigo. mejo given na yan eh. and eventually, it'll boil down to the rookie whose team fares the best in all 3 conferences.

the ROY of course will depend on how far your team could go
the higher the standing the more games played
so more stat pts gained

I hope its Mike Hrabak coz hindi siya mayabang tulad ng ibang rookies diyan. Feeling star na sila. Si Hrabak tahimik lang but may ipinapakita naman!!!

its still too early to tell, but i can just guess that it's a toss-up between hrabak, caguioa, and arigo....
i think the biggest factor is whose team will have more success....if shell can sustain their present shwoing for the entire season, hrabak will win it....

This year's edition of PBA has been blessed with new
players which has been showing superb performance
in the hardcourt,notwithstanding, their contributions
in making their team win.Count among them Mark
Caguioa of Ginebra,John Arigo of Alaska,Hrabak of Shell,
Willie Miller of Red Bull,and Hercules Tangcay of Sta.Lucia!
This early in the year,it could be said that the current
race for the ROOKIE of the YEAR is a close match!It is
very difficult to predict who will be the ROY!How about
you? Considering their current performance, who do you
think will become the ROY for PBA 2001!

relied upon during crunch time!

since isa lang naman ang magiging Rokie of the year sa 2000-2001...at kahit medyo malayo pa..para sa akin si MIKE HRABAK ang mananalo ng ROY(for me He is talented and humble enough to win that award)..Go Hrabak...Zzoooooooooommmmmmmmmm awayyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!

Mark Caguioa. Why coz he can create his own shot and he can take over the game when he is really hot. Michael Hrabak? Uhm, well last night's game clearly shows that this guys doesn't have a post-up(tawa ako kasi tinapon lang yung bola against kay Ejercito, e ang tangkad nya e) game and he can't create his own shot. He can't score if he's not properly set-up. Yeah he is a good shooter, but is there anything he can do aside from being a shooter. Well the 2001 season is still very young, he can still improve his game. But as of now Caguioa and Arigo are my bets, with Caguioa having the advantage.

i go for CAGUIAO,... kaya lang we all know na winning the rookie of the year award depends highly on how his mother team play in the season (remember ravena-meneses)
