mukhang maganda ang dating and makapal naman ang 8mm....is this good quality? durable kaya against scratches and spills? with long lifespan? pa-comment/feedback please...it's around 1k per square meter (8pcs) thanks.

btw, im wondering why they have 2 kinds, one is made in german, the other in malaysia, does it make a difference where it's made?

If it's over P1,ooo/sqm.,it's the Hornitex wood sculptured wood laminates.they're made in Malaysia, 12mm thick and have V-groove designs on all four sides of their planks.

If it's 8mm thick(this is the common thickness),priced at P563/sqm.with the words German engineered or German technology on its box,Hindi na sya made in Germany talaga but actually made in China using German technology..

If you like real made in Germany laminated flooring,KRONOTEX and Krono Original are some choices found in Home Depots.

Remember that ALL Hdf laminated flooring warp and swell in the seams when they come in contact with moisture or water and NO laminate flooring product has made a warranty against water-damage.

PERGO malaysia and ROBINA flooring added the edge-protection feature by sealing wax in their joints (all 4 sides) making them water-resistant.

laminate flooring are usually 8mm thick plus yung foam underlay na 2mm kaya 10mm or 1 cm. ang total height..may kinakabit pa na t-moulding profile na nagbridge ng gap between laminated flooring and the tile floor kaya kahit may konting height difference, mahahabol at smooth pa rin ang transition .

yes, its much preferable to make your flooring smooth and levelled

just wondering if our home building industry would be interested in 100% water-proof laminated flooring ,still with the same warm wood designs ,wood grain surface texture and almost the same wood plank dimensions.

Since it has no wood component,it does not fear water, flooding, moisture and condensation.it will now be suitable for rooms we never thought laminated flooring can ever be used :Bathrooms, Kitchens, laundry areas, etc. NO more warping,NO more swelling in the seams. Wow !

It is extremely hygienic because you can now wash it with soap and water.This will keep your homes away from bacterias and viruses that spread allergies.

I guess the price would be five to six times more expensive than the regular HDF laminated flooring in the market today,but if it is water-proof /durable ,maintenance and worry-free for years and years to come ,would you specify this exceptional flooring product?

Good news is Dumafloor will be made available locally come end of October.

the core material is made of composite,synthetic ,vinyl resins in honeycomb structure.they claim that they are very environmental friendly since not a single tree was killed in their production and is also 100% recyclable.

Expect very soon that China -made, lower priced ,waterproof laminate flooring products will saturate the flooring market very soon as they did the last time with the HDF flooring industry.
