I have always loved SDT, eventhough pang kinder o ang halftime lang ang competition routine nila.

if U.P. can accomplish a clean routine, no doubt, they can have a three-peat this year. On the other hand, I think U.S.T. is working hard to elevate their stunts and further developed ther best asset which is sync. no offense-meant, pero for the past two years, kinulang talaga sa wow factor ang gawi, their 2006 routine is still my favorite though...sa ibang squad naman, kulang ang Ateneo sa concept, masyadong old school kahit okay yung mga tosses and pyramids...FEU is doing good also base sa NCC routine nila...lastly, I do believe na dapat na ring i-upgrade ng mga UAAP sqauds ang quality ng mga tumbling...so far U.P. pa rin ang best for me when it comes to this category...

Im not expecting too much about UST-salinggawi this year

But for sure, we have a major upgrade this year. Abangan na lang po natin since marami po kaming bagong gymnasts na recruits this year. (hopefully ma utilize sila this year)

i agree that the University of the Philippines Pep Squad is indeed the Best UAAP Pep Squad right now..

after the UP Pep Squad.. I believe that the FEU Cheering Squad has successfully got very very close to the LEVEL of the UP Pep Squad.

the ADMU Blue Babble Batallion is the BIGGEST Threat among the improving pep squads of the UAAP.

of course i won't count out the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe..
we don't know.. maybe they're already preparing now..
and they are up to bring back the title to Espana.

as for other pep squads.. DLSU Animo Squad will also be a BIG Threat as they've shown solid routine in NCC 09.

FEARLESS FORECAST :

1. UP - just watch their performance in the 3rd Asian Cheerleading.
2. FEU - biggest threat I guess, look at their NCC videos, they almost move like UP already in a good way because they still manage to present that they are FEU.

3. ADMU - Improvements on their Gymnastics and Pyramids were really great! I guess they can make it to the Top 3.

4. AdU - Kulang lang sa Synchronization. Biggest asset is pyramids and stunts!
5. UST - Sila ang tingin ko na pababa ang performance. While watching Cheermania 2009 and their 2008 CDC Performance is quite dissappointing plus I've heard puro rookies sila this year, so not too much expectations ako sa kanila. And hindi rin sila lumalabas sa ibang compe unlike what FEU and UP are doing kaya sobrang improvements sila.

I thought Cheermania is exclusive to the colleges within UST but I maybe wrong. If the UST Cheermania is what you're pertaining to then UST SDT is a guest performer there.

Yep, for different colleges in ust lang yung cheermania. Parang guest performance lang ang SDT sa cheermania. Ang alam ko karamihan rookies ang pinagpeperform nila kapag cheermania.

natawa naman ako dito, basta pang-cheering ek-ek daw...ok convince yourself na ek ek lang ang mga cheering competition hahaha...be rational and think wise before boasting...coz it will be obvious that your mind is a notch lower compare to someone LOL

hmmm.. past is past..
but i believe either ADMU or ADU was deserving for the 2nd place last UAAP CDC.

no offense meant to the 2nd placer last year..
just my personal opinion.

Ako rin. Sana maiba naman ang top 3 this year.

Ateneo and Adamson, IMO, outperformed UST and FEU last year. I liked UST's much-maligned 2007 routine, but last year's was not that good. It lacked difficulty, especially in partner stunts, and it did not have the sharpness of previous SDT routines. FEU, as usual, put style over substance. Sana this year they strip down their routine at tanggalin na nila yung mga pa-gimmick nila because it cheapens the routine. They're obviously a talented squad, di lang masyadong maganda yung choreo at concept nila last year.

For Adamson to break into the top 3, dapat maganda lang execution nila, kasi last year may mga mali mali pa. Maganda yung routine (it was a winning routine, IMO) pero yung execution medyo sablay, medyo kalat.

For Ateneo, I'd like to see even more difficult partner stunts. Malamang di pa mangyayari, but I'd like to see Ateneo be the first school to do rewinds and full ups. Their guys are really good partner stunters, probably the best in the UAAP. Dapat dun sila mag focus dahil dun sila magaling. Also, more interesting pyramids and more interesting transitions (I liked the pyramid that they did in their NCC routine. Medyo sumablay nga lang. But they're obviously moving in the right direction).

UST will still be one to watch come September though. But if UP performs their routine without any mistakes (and that's a big IF, because execution is UP's weakness), then a three-peat will be very likely.
