Is It Better To Live In Baguio?

I'm seriously thinking of moving out of Metro Manila and going to a cooler, milder and less frantic place. I have lived here all my life and I want to move somewhere agreeable to me. I can bring my work with me and I have some money saved. Ayoko ng sobrang matao at makotse. May mga major banks. May internet connection. Mura lang rent (I don't really need a big living space). Di delikado. Mura pagkain. And I don't have to suffer the heat. And then I thought of living in Baguio.

You guys think living in Baguio is a solution? Ayoko naman kasi sa probinsiya.

If you're after cool and serene, how about Tagaytay which is closer to Mla?

Siyempre! ...kaya lang baka magsawa ka sa lamig ng Baguio city

Gusto ko na pumunta ng Baguio!!!

If you're avoiding pollution, Baguio is not the way to go. Baguio has a lot of vehicles and the perennial smoke pollution is not good for your lungs which are working double time because of the thinner air of Baguio. Which means you inhale all that pollution more deeply.

have you been to baguio lately? antraffic na din.

and your view from SM or anyplace would be rows and rows of houses on the hills instead of trees.

sad to say, lately nagkakaroon na rin ng garbage prob ang baguio.

Davao City - kung magma-migrate man ako within the Philippines, dito ako.

Baguio is very polluted, unless sa John Hay ka nakatira.

parang Manila na rin ang Baguio City sa traffic, pollution & eye sores...
    mag-Tagaytay ka na nga lang...
not so sure kung maganda at malamig din ang Antipolo...

Tagaytay is better than Baguio, I think. The last time I was in Baguio, it felt really cramped especially when you see the houses - and yes, eye sore na siya. Too many cars in Baguio na din, just like Manila.

or you can live in towns/barangays near baguio na nasa tuktok parin ng bundok. you just need an offroad vehicle. kasi last time may pinuntahan kami na bahay ng kaibigan ng tita ko ang gamit naman mazda3 puro sayad ang napala namin.

If you're bothered by the humidity in Manila, go to Baguio. But if you're supertitious and afraid of encountering "multo" there, you better stay here.

I used to love Baguio, actually. This place has become blot on the landscape like Bora and I don't wanna go in places crowded by massive number of tourists because I'm claustrophobic. I prefer Tagaytay because its scenery is waaaay better than Baguio, methinks. I will never get weary looking at the Taal Volcano.

What I love about Baguio is its pine cone. I collected almost a hundred of these while wandering around Baguio. I used some of them as decoration in my gifts.

This thread drives me to collect more pine cone. It's been 2 years since my last visit there.

i also thought about this, 2-3 yrs ago. because i grew tired of the usual hustle and bustle in manila.

but coming from baguio last week, i'm having 2nd doubts na. like what others have said, mas matraffic na, mas polluted and crowded. also, there was an outbreak of diarrhea due to water contamination at 5 brgys in the city.

pwede pa siguro sa Sagada. hehe!

No, Baguio is not the place. I was there two weeks ago, stayed in the BCC, went around. Air is polluted. Walang kwenta.
Better to settle in the south--Tagaytay or Nasugbu--colder than Baguio!, mas madali pa puntahan. Go! go!

Yeah, ganda sa Baguio if you are in John Hay, other than that not much really.
