the question is pretty simple -- can lebron replace michael jordan as the greatest player?

if he can continue to be a complete 2-way player, win enough rings and mvps (5-7) then yes he can definitely replace jordan.

anything less than that and the answer will be no
I don't think it's that simple. Bill Russell is an 11-time NBA champion and had 5 NBA MVPs, but Jordan is considered to be the greater player. Same thing with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who had 6 NBA championships, 6 MVP awards, and is also the all-time leading NBA scorer. Intangibles are also being considered here.

before we go to that complicated stuff, lebron must qualify to the criteria that i've given first.

that's why it's not about the stats and accomplishments!! it's something mj did that made him the greatest of all time which lebron can't do!! mj broke nba free.. he made it known for everything he's done. he's unbelievable and went over what basketball us about that's what lebron can't do!!!!!!!

Yup! The Cavs are too raw to compete the Spurs. Imagine, LeBron carried his team into the finals in his 4th year in the NBA.

Losing? 66 win in a regular season. Are you kidding me?

wow, r-mac and balthier are spewing feces all over.

andami-daming rookies dyan ang hyped pagpasok. pero pinaguusapan ba sila ngayon? noooo... pero si lebron, nagbibigay ng rason para pagusapan sya. best regular season record, stellar performances, triple doubles, post season sweeps, first finals appearance after only 4 yrs in the nba with him as the franchise, etc.

    The answer is... NO.

But Lebron James can be the greatest NBA entertainer.
He is like the NBA's version of Hulk Hogan.

I've never seen another player who relishes the cheers and attention as much as Lebron James. He plays to get the cheers. Too much drama for me.

Michael Jordan played to win and dominate the game. Plain and simple.

before jordan.. can LeBron even match Shaq and Kobe..? 3-4 NBA Championships should first be in mind before Jordan's 6 NBA rings.

    LeBron will NEVER surpass Jordan.

with everything that MJ did for basketball during his career, i doubt it if Lebron can ever replace him.

    2007 - massacred/sweep by the spurs!!!! 0-4 This is a record!

2008 - talo na naman. Sa defending champions.

Too much hype for the idol.

    - ganun ba? Let's see if he can live-up to his overhype status. But to think if he can replace Jordan? WTF!!!! Grover tita!!!

Magcha-champion din yang idol ninyo. Siguro? Malay natin bka this year? (asa) Pero how many times? - yeah, right. Keep believing what the media is telling. Swallow everything.

He can never replace Jordan. Marami pang darating diyan. WoW!!!!

    And the cycle never ends.

    Thank you Nostradamus.

Saka people easily forget that before Shaquille O'Neal won 3 NBA Championship Rings his team was swept by the Houston Rockets in the 1995 NBA Finals, The Chicago Bulls swept the Orlando Magic in the 1996 Eastern Conference Finals, and the Lakers were swept by the Utah Jazz in the 1998 Western Conference Finals.

"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed. "

Scoring Machine yung 1980's Jordan pero yung 1990's Jordan eh better overall player, better team leader, and unselfish na basketball player cause Jordan already trusted his teammates to take the game winning shots.

Jordan became the greatest player of all time dahil sa Finals Performance niya, and kahit na siya ang pinakamagaling na basketball player nung 1990's he still motivated his teammates on and off the court dahil alam niya na ang basketball is a team sport, and he also needed some help from his teammates.
