CWTS? Ano po yun?

I took the CWTS offered by the Asian Institute of Tourism (AIT). Second year summer, six units kaagad kaya okay.

Our first (and only) class meeting was held at the Quezon City Hall, Tourism Department. The class was divided into four groups, corresponding to the four districts of Quezon City. Each group was assigned to list down, describe and analyze the history of the numerous festivities being held at their assigned district. Basically, we went to the barangay halls and churches and interviewed key personnel. Final (and only) output was our research papers submitted to the department.

We got District 2, which includes 31 barangays including Payatas. Akala ng mga classmates ko (na mga laking probinsya) na pupunta talaga kami sa Payatas Dumpsite. XD Buti na lang yung Barangay Hall ng Payatas ay malayo sa dumpsite pero naaamoy pa rin.

Pero ang pinaka-epic ay Batasan Hills. May malaking (as in MALAKING) topless pic ang barangay captain sa barangay hall. Medyo rampant ang crimes kasi sa Batasan Hills kaya dapat tigasin si Captain. XD

May confession ako about CWTS MMME, I took it when I was a junior. As you all know, CWTS MMME is a course on life-saving, rope skills, etc., pero I only participated dun sa pag-rappel once. Tapos hindi na ako ulit nag-rappel, kahit nung final activity sa Laguna, hindi pa din ako nag-rappel. Hindi ko alam kung bakit pero talagang naduwag na ako after nung first time kong mag-rappel sa QC Circle. Buti na nalang mabait yung JI namin that time, at naka 1.25 pa ako kahit na malaking bulk nung activities hindi ko nagawa.



Bumawi na lang ako dun sa iba: CPR, knots, at *** compass activities.

speaking of NSTP, may tanong lang po ako.. sana may tumulong (and I need super suggestion from you guys) ..

i'm from OU and BAMS freshie this coming 1st sem and I'm very clueless about NSTP (actually sa lahat ng units, hehe)

sabi kasi sa site:

BAMS students must complete six units of courses offered in National Service Training Program (NSTP. The courses offered are clustred in the following components: Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC), Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS), and Literary Training Service (LTS). (RA9163)

NSTP may also be taken in any school/ institution accessible to the student through cross registration, subject to UPOU approval.

ano po kaya yung usual na ginagawa sa CWTS sa UP diliman kasi plan ko po don magtake ng NSTP, (clueless pa rin kasi ako up to now kung may NSTP na offer sa OU centers, and mukang mas okay toh (CWTS) compared sa ROTC kasi hingalin ako) tska san ako pwedeng kumuha ng slot.. under kasi kami ng FICS.. may chance po kaya na dalin kami sa province in case? kasi I have a 4 yr old daughter na di ko talaga maiwan-iwan.. that's also the main reason din why I enroll to OU instead in formal university like UP itself. concern lang ako baka kasi ma-DQ ako agad pag nakitang may kasama akong baby..

hi! yung CWTS sa Diliman iba-iba sa bawat college. mamimili ka kung anong CWTS ang trip mo. check mo sa CRS kung ano yung mga offered sa CWTS sa bawat semester. yung ibang CWTS, outreach ang ginagawa, like sa CBA, outreach sa boystown *** CWTS nila dati, ewan ko lang ngayon.

Hi! Just wanna ask kung anong mga college yung nagrerequire na sa own college kumuha ng CWTS? In particular, sa BS Economics ba required na CWTS ng School of Econ i-take mo? Thanks!

Ohh, sorry. Thanks! I'm quite bothered kasi, I'm taking CWTS Art Stud this summer and planning to shift to BS Economics. Baka mamaya hindi macredit.

Hmmm... I have an econ major friend, (third year na siya ngayon), and she told me na required sa kanila na CWTS Econ ang kunin nila. Pero that may have changed, I dunno. Try asking Econ mismo just to be safe

for CWTS 1, reporting and two (yata? i forgot na eh hehe) required trips to bataan..

for CWTS 2, required trips to bataan (i forgot na kung ilan)..pag nagpunta sa bataan, pipili either you want sa sabang or sa kanawan..sa sabang, magtuturo sa kids sa town sa tabi ng dagat..pag sa kanawan, sa mga aeta kids nagtuturo..beware sa sabang kids..matalino sila superrr haha we underestimated them..

CWTS? Ano yan? HAHAHAHA. Wag seryosohin, kasi yung prof namin di seryoso e kaya di ko rin ito sineryoso. HAHA. Pero srsly, kebs lang yan. Majors ang alalahanin ninyo.

Kailangan bang i-take ang CWTS within the first 2 years para makakuha ng honors? Pag after 2nd year hindi na pwedeng magka-honor? Salamat sa sasagot
