Season 6 already started and I can't wait to see episode 2 tomorrow. I can't stand the fact that Franky's a bit *****y now. But I'm still excited about "Minky". (Mini and Franky ship)

and I miss Naomi and Emily. =')

Oh God I freaking love Emily & Naomi sila lang ang nagustuhan ko sa Season 3&4 sana lang nag ka storyline din si Maxxie gaya ng kina Naomi, dissapointed ako sa Season 4 ending, did Cook successfully murder that psychopath who has a thing for Effy or he didn't survive like what happened to Freddie?.

The US version of Skins was cancelled after one 10 episode season on MTV and now the UK original has been axed as well, after seven seasons.

According to The Guardian, Channel 4 has confirmed that the final season will air early next year in the UK. They promise “a celebration of this truly iconic series”.

Created by father-and-son writers Bryan Elsley and Jamie Brittain, Skins follows the lives of teenagers in Bristol, South West England. It premiered in January 2007 on E4 and attracted 1.4 million viewers. At the time, that was the channel’s second biggest audience (behind Big Brother) for a UK-originated show.

A Channel 4 spokeswoman said, “Skins is a brilliant show which has defined a generation and will go down as a truly iconic, game-changing piece of television but after seven series it is time for E4 to make way for the next generation of the bold, the new and the innovative.”

Here in the states, BBC America aired the first three seasons of Skins, from August 2008 until October 2009.

I liked Rich and Grace together. But yes Alex spiced up the story this season.

But I think its better this way, you can only have so much story about teenagers. And Skins lasted for 6 seasons! That's not bad for a teen series.

Skins' to bow out with final series in 2013, former stars to return

The E4 teen drama has been recommissioned for a special seventh run - made up of three films broken up into six parts - to be broadcast in 2013, Digital Spy can confirm.

Famous Skins characters from the past five years will appear in the ‘celebratory’ series.
Nicholas Hoult (Tony), Kaya Scodelario (Effy), Jack O’Connell (Cook) and Luke Pasqualino(Freddie) are among those who could return.
“Channel 4 today confirmed that next year’s series of E4’s teen drama Skins will be its last,” the broadcaster said this evening.

“The new series will be a celebration of this truly iconic series, and will go to air in early 2013.”
