Mahone, natatandaan ko nagpost ka rin don sa thread na iyon dati. c",) I've always tried to help sa thread na iyon kung may nagtatanong.

Here's my opinion sayo. While you're still looking for a job, start working on your CCNP or whatever concentration you want. CCNA guys are dime a dozen, so stopping at CCNA is not really a good move.

Submit your resume to the following companies. Yung iba tumatanggap ng Junior, Network Engineer (with or without CCNA certificate).

So what's the point of being a network engineer in a firm kung iba naman ang ginagawa mo. IT nga siya but not into networking, right?

  4. #24
^With all due respect, marami ngang IT Consulting Firms, pero at this time of the year, ilan lang ba sa kanila ang may job openings.

  5. #25

^^ And my question is, sinubukan mo/ba ninyong mag-apply? At least subukan mo/niyo.

Alam niyo bang tumatanggap ang ibang firms ng entry-level with or without CCNA certificate? I think Verizon Business Philippines accepts applicants without these certificates.

Yeah medyo mahirap at first because you will undergo a series of technical interviews. Pero kung determined ka talaga na i-pursue ang career, then I don't think mahirap siya.

What do you think? I want to hear your positive reply. Ayokong makarinig nang mahirap na ang labanan and all that sh!t (sorry moderators, i just want to help these guys). Hehehe.

^ Good luck. Do everything you can. Ibuhos mo lahat nang napag-aralan mo to get that certificate on your first attempt. 250 US Dollars is a lot of money for a single certificate.

Yes, you have to try. But what I am saying is, don't stop at CCNA while looking for a job. Maraming mga tao nadidiscourage kaagad dahil walang tumatawag sa kanila after they submit the application. Yes, you can do above and beyond after the application but a lot of guys in the industry just stop at CCNA but they really shouldn't. They think that they know it all dahil CCNA na sila. Most/some of them naman gumamit ng dumps para pumasa. Oh well.

Yes, I've talked to some VzB folks na naghihire sila ng hindi CCNA. Most of the time, they hire them to do Layer 1 and 2 or probably just take calls from the customers and escalate it to a different tier. They still call them Engineers while their job's description isn't.

Sometimes, it is not what you know but who you know rin. My colleague at work got in because his brother-in-law was a former employee of my boss. This colleague of mine didn't have any CCNA or any IT experience at all but got hired. I gotta say though, he works very hard and don't slack at all.

Guys, paalala lang, we are hosting live session to help you understand some concepts you're having trouble with. This is completely FREE of charge. First come first serve basis.

Network Support has gone globally, the reason why you need to wait or apply to more companies it's because not just in the Philippines have CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCIE but other countries like China halos ang dami nila doon. Remember before we have benefited from Chinese networking forum posting some top questions and answers on certifications. That's why Cisco changed it's exam to adaptive and less multiple choices mostly situational na.

On the other hand, the networking world has changed Chinese products are now emerging to the enterprise market like Huawei. Do you know that our local carriers Smart and Globe and even PLDT are starting to use on their enterprise equipment brands like Huawei, etc.

In Singapore for instance, they hire a lot of foreigners most of them Filipinos and Indian because of certifications on their resume but when they get into battle they slack mostly. The company have no choice but to terminate your contract. Dito sa pinas pwede pang 2nd or 3rd chance. So be ready globally

^ Yes. And your training will be an on-site inspection/support to your clients. Hindi yung magdi-discuss kayo sa classroom. Kunwari tumawag ang client niyo na may problema ang isang router nila sa isang branch office, if you can resolve the issue by connecting to that router via telnet, SSH, you will resolve that issue in your office. Just check the router configuration etc.

So be prepared din and work smartly. Act like you know how to resolve the issue (kahit hinde). Hehehe

    Good luck.

    ^ Idagdag ko na rin.

Ang daming reviewers na available online. You can download these reviewers from torrent.

  16. #36
I hope you're not talking about dumps when you said reviewer.

The best simulator that I've used is GNS3. I've talked about it sa kabilang thread. Some CCIEs have used this simulator to pass their CCIE lab exam.

When I finally decide if I am going to take the CCIE R&S exam (both), I'll most likely use my GNS3 since I don't want to spend some more for my lab. It depends though. I might add some more routers to my home lab when budget allows. Nothing beats real equipment. Besides, GNS3 is limited in terms of switching. They don't have real switches but you can add a switch module to the router to act as a switch. However, it doesn't do L3 switching, IIRC.

Guys, I have couple more slots sa live session na gaganapin on 11/21/09 @ 10AM (pinas time). We'll pretty much discuss any topics that you have hard time with and/or specific questions you may have. Again, this is completely free. I have couple more slots left.

Routers 1, 2 and 3 are all configured for static routing. Routers 4, 5 and 6 are configured for RIP route.

Paano ko i-re-redistribute yung static routes coming from Router 3 going to Router 4 since router 4 is configured to RIP route? Directly connected yung link nila?

I did a research and the command to use is redistribute static. I configured that on Router4 then tried to ping Routers 5 and 6 from Router 1. I'm not getting a reply from those routers.

    Please help.

Wait. I will post the configuration per router. Please check me If I'm wrong.
