Hugely overrated and sacked by November, you mean?

At least he managed to stay with Milan for 8 years. So that's gotta be something. Plus two CL titles.

    Hehehe...

ACMilan is probably the oldest big club in the world. They have several stars in their 30s and one in their 40s! Chelsea is probably the second oldest, if not, one of the oldest. So who would he bring from ACM? Sheva? Nesta?? Ambrosini??? Inzaghi???? Seedorf????? Dida?????? Hehehe...

I have a feeling Sheva will be back. But then, bring in young Alexandre Pato!

    Indeed!

    Transfer News

Carlo Ancelotti lines up Milan striker Alex Pato and Portsmouth right-back Glen Johnson as he bids to lead Chelsea to Champions League glory (The Sun). An interesting one, as it signifies an attempt to reduce the average age of the squad, targeting potential as opposed to big names.

I'm damn sure Sturrige has signed for Chelsea.

Milan would be stupid to let Pato go. First you lose Kaka, then Pato. Might as well move to Asia, since they're gonna be a retirement home for aging footballers

Glen Johnson? Isn't that the same guy who couldn't get a start over Ferreira? Great management right there, buying back players you just sold is always a good sign

Ancelotti knows how to handle older talent. Perhaps that was the reason for signing him. Lots of egos just like Milan and of a similar age.

I heard Shevchenko will play an important part as a translator whilst he learns English.

ACM already announced that they are only willing to lose Kaka, and no one else. The reason is pure economical, and they can use that record bid money for some other purchases or purposes.

    Pato wants Ancelotti talks

Milan striker Alexandre Pato plans to hold talks with former boss and new Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti before deciding on his future.

The 19-year-old Brazilian, whose compatriot Kaka sealed a move from Milan to Real Madrid, has been a constant goal threat since joining from Internacional in 2007.

Milan sold playmaker Kaka to help boost their bank balance and insist Pato is staying but speculation has been rife that former San Siro boss Ancelotti wants to take him to London.

"I will talk with Ancelotti. He is an extraordinary man. It is thanks to Ancelotti that I managed to come through at Milan and in Italian football," Pato told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Before deciding my future I want to talk with him. At the end of June, after the Confederations Cup in South Africa, I will talk with the Milan directors."

The loss of former world player of the year Kaka after six years has led to supporter protests and any further high profile departures could rock the Rossoneri, whose ageing side stuttered since winning the Champions League in 2007.

New novice coach Leonardo, who started taking an advanced coaching badge on Monday, faces a tough baptism in the job.

Media reports have linked Milan with the quick purchase of Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko to try to quell the unrest caused by the Kaka sale.

Sturridge and Pato would be a great injection of youth at the front after Anelka and Drogba.

Ribery - Bosingwa (plus cash) trade?

Bundesliga - Bayern interested in Boswinga

Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness has confirmed they want to sign Chelsea full-back Jose Bosingwa.

The right-back slot is the only area Bayern are still looking to strengthen after making seven signings already this summer - and Hoeness feels Bosingwa fits the bill.

The Portugal international only moved to Stamford Bridge last summer, but Hoeness told Munich's tz newspaper: "We are interested in Bosingwa. That's correct.

"Our transfer activities are basically closed. We are only looking at whether there are possibilities for the right-back position."

That is a nice away kit. Better than the new United kits.

I'm planning to get, hopefully, Barca's new home shirt, Barca's new goalkeeper's shirt and the Gunners' new away shirt.

I saw the new Spain shirt while I was in Taiwan over the weekend, but I just didn't like the black stripe on the right side.

    Unnecessary sourgraping:

    Scolari blasts Chelsea trio

Luiz Felipe Scolari claims a number of Chelsea players did not respect him and his training methods during his ill-fated eight-month stint at Stamford Bridge.

The 60-year-old Brazilian, who is currently coaching Bunyodkor in Uzbekistan, singled out the behaviour of Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba, Germany midfielder Michael Ballack and Czech Republic goalkeeper Petr Cech as unacceptable.

Scolari, who took over the Blues hot-seat last July and was sacked in February, told O Globo newspaper: "The real owners of football at the moment are the players. The coach, in most European clubs, has no strength to contradict them.

"The people sacked are always the coaches. The main players already know this. That was my problem at Chelsea. Drogba, Ballack and Cech did not accept my training methods or my demands."

Hah. It's Madrid being linked to Cole.

He wouldn't fetch ridiculous money considering he is on the final part of his contract.

  19. #59
What the hell is John Terry thinking, considering to move to Eastlands? Considering Chelsea have a shot at four titles. He is Mr. Chelsea, I don't think Chelsea would win anything if he leaves.

it's all about the money for Mr. Terry!

everyone has a price, just ask Mr. C.Ronaldo. Defenders are not known for their high value/salaries, so if ever the deal with ManCity pusses through, JT would be the highest transfer fee for a defender.

although my honest opinion, I don't blame JT cause I would probably do the same, but... I honestly feel the deal is overpriced. You have to also understand that ManCity has been humiliated big time by losing/not getting Kaka despite of their money. But then, ManCity are not bidding for the best players, compared to RealMadrid.

and in my opinion, Alex is Chelsea's best defender!
