waterwell: i was there for around 9 days last year. i didn't feel in danger at any time during my stay there. the locals were all very welcoming and hospitable. in fact, i thought it was a lot safer than manila... or even san francisco for that matter.

i can't vouch for safety in the neighboring countries (i.e. afghanistan, iraq and pakistan) however

we're going to iran next year april, balak din namin mag-side trip sa dubai!

This may be a bimbotic question driven by my wrong perception, sorry. Is it safe for a single, female solo traveler to explore Iran? Am very interested but I dont want to stick out like a sore thumb. Or maybe easier for me to 'blend in' to the locals since mag isa lang ako if ever? Advice appreciated.

Iran is very safe even for female travelers, I've seen many. Just wear the head cover (or hijab) which actually can be very trendy. Wear loose clothes- not body-hugging.

Iranians are very friendly and accommodating- except maybe in very conservative areas (don't take it as being rude though). There's nothing to be afraid of.

How about Tehran? Maganda sa Tehran?

Naguguluhan ako sa visa. Visa on arrival, or bago umalis papuntang Iran?

Iran is not Visa on Arrival anymore. You need a pre-arranged visa to go there.
