    Examples And Narrations :)

Just for us to have a healthy conversation in here, kindly give some details and reasons behind your ratings and rankings. Please give clear and concrete narrations and information, such as why CompanyNumber one is better than CompanyNumber two, why *this* company is only in number 8, etc., etc., etc.. This is a free-flowing thread I suppose.

Looks like an HR is making a survey

^yeah and that is the sad part...
these considered "best of the bests" IT companies are the ones undergoing retrenchmencts...

was the global crisis came that fast that these companies were not able to predict or calculated their needs for resources and somewhat mishandled it, and having more resources than necessary for their projects...kaya ayun tinanggal na lang, kesa tumambay at paswelduhin ng ala ginagawa...

accenture was aggressively mass hiring mid way last year, and was cutting jobs months later...

    back to topic...

smart and accenture has good benefits...
though mas higher ang starting salary sa accenture by a few thousands...

yun dalawa lang ang meron akong idea eh...hehehe

but i'll put these companies as my top in no particular order...
the reason, mga sabi sabi lang na naririnig ko...
    hehehe...

    Accenture
    Lawson
    IBM
    HP
    Oracle
    Azeus

    Lightbulb P.o.v.

    This is an interesting discussion...

    For Salary:
    1.IBM
    2.SMART
    3.LAWSON
    4.AZEUS
    5.ACCENTURE

Accenture, they give high salary DEPENDING ON THE POSITION. Their Entry-level salary offer could be very low, same case with Smart, but once you climb up the career ladder, their pay and future pay could get you somewhere. They might be considered thrifty for the newly grads, but then, when you get hired, and has already earned the right and sufficient exposure, experience, and training under them, then you can expect a gallant compensation package along your career ladder as you climb up.

Azeus pays well specially for their programmers, the thing in this company is that they are into hardcore programing, most often than not, they will fully utilize your skills and push you towards your limits. This is Good for others, bad for some.

Lawson pays better since they have the what we call tax barrier or tax shield. This company is not really into hardcore programming but still, challenges are present. ALLOWANCE and FUN are two words that would describe this company in terms of the monetary thing.

Smart pays really good but not in terms of the monthly income of employees. It is in terms of the annual income. The monthly basic pay is VERY low compared with other big companies, but they can give out as much as upto 18-20th month pay. During interviews, they would tell you that it could be upto 22nd-25th month pay, but honestly, that'll only come once in a blue moon. the average would be upto 18th month pay. Not bad at all!

IBM, as far as i am concerned, pays the highest in terms of the overtime pay. If you can work for really long hours and stay on your assignment in the office, then you can even receive twice of your basic pay at the end of the month. the biggest smile for this is that overtime pays are not taxable.

In terms of the companies that could offer their employees colors and edge with fun and great life-experience, here is my ranking.

    1. MISYS
    2. LAWSON
    3. ACCENTURE
    4. IBM
    5. SAFEWAY PHILTECH
    6. HP

Well, on the 6th place is Hewllett-Packard. They have cool offices, work peers are witty and mostly fun to be with, but the downfall in here is the ever shifting schedule.

Well, Misys is the company to be with if you're into more fun while learning. But mind you, the training and work in here can get kinda rough as well.

There could be alot of categories and ways to rank and rate companies but if there is this ULTIMATE AWARD, I'd give it to not just a single company, I think as for my part, there would be a triple tie.

    X. IBM
    X. LAWSON
    X. ACCENTURE

IBM, Three things; Prestige, Fame and Reputation (They have them).
LAWSON, Three things; Pay, People, Experience (All are great).
Accenture, Three things; Work, Balance, Fun (They can give you these).

I didn't bother to proofread my post na a, bahala nalang kayo mag-pasensya if ever my discrepancies and typographical mistakes.

    Share your ideas and opinions.

    IT Companies

Macquarie is not an IT company, its a global investment bank based in Australia.

"Well, on the 6th place is Hewllett-Packard. They have cool offices, work peers are witty and mostly fun to be with, but the downfall in here is the ever shifting schedule"

Why do put negative on the "shifting schedule" remember you are working in a global company so expect you work on the different time. What if the all of the clients are US and you work at their time; would you still work with even the pay is triple? with great benefits

HP is better than Accenture and Lawson
This can be proven on today's time the stability of the company. HP did not downsize but Lawson and Accenture did

HP is at par with IBM

BTW, I am not from HP

    Why not include local companies
    I consider one that's IPVG

It's not always about the money.

But HP cuts a % on their employees' salary.

  17. #17
That's about 5% on salary is not considered as downsize; better than walking out the lobby with a brown envelope

Hmmm... So isn't it a thing of business downsizing? In the first place, they won't do it if they're not really affected by the crisis (of course they are... everybody is). Well, point disclosed, so according to you, (going back to the topic) HP is Better Than Lawson and Accenture.

  19. #19
meron ba makakatulong sa kin mag-apply sa mga high-paying IT companies dito?

  20. #20
my opening po ba sa HP ngayon? VB.Net programmer here kahit C# kaya ko po...
