Got my admissions e-mail from GAO last night. Question: if they say that I have to take the PRE-MBA courses, would that include ENG501M and ENG502M?

Also, can you take courses in two different campuses? For example - Taft and RCBC?

yeah tama si agent. if you have satisfied the admission requirements like having a high score in the exams etc, then you will be qualified for the automatic exemption for pre-mba courses say for example you are a CPA, you will be automatically be exempted from the financial accounting course etc. this will be explain to you during the Orientation. Ako mababa results ng exams ko for sure kaya nasa probationary status ako for two years and disqualified ako sa exemption but i can take the qualifying exams para maexempt ako. take to din eng501m next term. pag 3 grade mo dun , exempted kana sa eng502m. sbai ng classmate ko nagtatake nun review of basic english grammar, how to write essays etc. to: agent, anong year mo na? ako frosh have you taken financial accounting?

TO chausev: i think wala kang ibang choice with regard to the schedule of your classes. kung anong available un lang. no special request as far as i know. before ganyan din akala ko. pagbutihan mo exams at interview mo para maexempt ka sa financial accounting course if you are a CPA at dimo na itake ugn eng501m dagdag gastos lang kasi un.

So you mean, yung pre-MBA courses are like undergrad courses that I need to take during the day? They don't offer that na sa GSB? And if hindi ka exempted sa ENG501M and ENG502M, ilalagay ba nila yun sa mga courses that you need to take or they'll advise you that during confirmation and orientation?

wala2003, were you asked to take the PRE-MBA courses or hindi na? I guess I better clarify things na din during orientation and with the GAO. Btw, what courses did you take this term?

**UPDATE** I just called GAO after my last post and asked them about it. The PRE-MBA courses are also offered in GSB. I also asked whether or not I still need to take ENG501M and ENG502M - since it wasn't on my admissions letter, they told me that I no longer need to take it.

yup it is indicated on your admission paper yung green the courses you must take this term and the pre mba ones. i am currently taking up financial accounting and management principles as indicated on the "must take" courses this term. malapit na finals bilis. expect a lot of case studies on management principles. on fin acc we have but not that much unlike sa manpri. but i think it depends on the prof.

With MBA, requirement nila 2-3 years working experience. I think there are some Graduate Programs that allow you to take the program right after finishing your Undergraduate degree.

for new students what I know is you need to submit all the requirements for SFA during your admission process. if not, possible you can apply for next term. nanghihinayang nga ako hindi ako nag apply dati kc medyo average ang sweldo ko kaya inisip ko ha hindi ako maaaprove for SFA. Then after our orientation may mga nakausap ako na mas malaki pa sweldo sakin and nagrant *** ng 25%-50% disc. sayang din yun. wala naman ako problem sa grades nung undergrad ko. the for second term hindi n nkhabol *** application ko for SFA deadline *** kanina. ngayon medyo ramdam ko na ang pressure kc malapit n finals and sunod sunod ang mga exam. and worst is full load ako 9 units and nagwowork pa ako. kaya tawag sakin ng mga officemate ko adik. sana makaya ko matapos with good grades ang temr 1. hectic n schedule starting 2nd week ng aug. kaya next term 6 units n lang ako. huhuhu

I did submit my requirements and applied for SFA. When I submitted my application sa SFA office, we were told call Ms Julie to schedule an interview with Vice Dean. I have a friend naman na ang sabi sa kanya wait na lang daw for the results of his application within the month. Tawag ulit ako sa La Salle before Thursday just to be sure.

Sana ma-grant ng discount. Mabigat kasi talaga, eh. Any discount would help a lot.

to katchore: depende sa degree, please refer to the school's website for the admission requirements for each. or pwd ka din humingi ng brochure sa GAO sa MBA minimum of 3 years PGDM 2 years ata.

Thanks! Ganun ba yun? Kapag probationary ka, hindi pwedeng mag-apply for SFA? Probationary kasi ako since I have to take all the PRE-MBA courses since hindi ako BMG/BA graduate. Sana nga pumasa ako. Sobrang laking tulong if ever pumasa sa SFA.

Anyway, confirmation na namin on the 18th-20th. Pwede na ba namin i-activate ang MLS account namin once we get our ID# for our online enlistment on September 1-3 or better na on the day of the online enlistment na lang i-activate yung MLS account?

Aok, so irregardless of your undergraduate program, you still need to take the PRE-MBA courses? Yun lang kasi ang nakalagay sa Notice of Admissions e-mail that I got from GAO. So, hindi satisfactory ang scores kapag probationary? Sorry, naguluhan lang ako.

I'm currently working for a Hotel here in Makati in the Group Sales department. The management allowed me to pursue my Graduate Studies as part of their program and I guess for possible promotion in the future. Sayang nga, hindi ako nakahabol sa deadline namin dito sa work. May Financial Aid program din kasi dito. If you get approved, they'll pay for your tuition, pero you have to pay for the miscellaneous fees. Catch lang, for every year that you finish in Graduate School, you'd have to stay in the company for a year as well. Ikaw ba? Where are you working and as what?

yup malapit n ang finals. samin may mga nasched ako na mas maaga sa finals schedule. then sunod sunod ang mga exams naghahabol n *** because of the 2 week suspension due to h1n1 case sa school. medyo mhirap kc full time working ako then full load din ako. hopefully makasurvive ako this sem with good grades. ngayon ko nararamdaman ang hirap sa schedule pag full load. i've learned my lesson. di na ako magfufull load next term. for this term d ako nakahabol for SFA. sayang. 25% disc malaking bagay na rin yun.
