    Anyone Here From ADB....???

    Gud pm pexers....just want to have a glimpse on how the selection process is being done in this prestigious company. Are written exams being given to candidates? Are there panel interviews? How long will it take to reach a final job offer?

    Appreciate any inputs.....

    i think there was a thread before about adb.. parang matagal na.. ewan ko kung asan na. anyway. i just sent my application kanina. sana pansinin nila. hehe.

    i think kelangan 2 years of experience *preferably banking* to get into ADB. correct me if i'm wrong. and dollars daw ang sweldo dito? hehe

    @slurpee...

    thanks for the advce. have tried locating that thread and found this.....http://www.pinoyexchange.com/forums/...9.html....mejo old n nga. last post is 2003 p. i'm wondering if they still apply this contractual/thru-agency style to the vacancies posted in their website right now...

    ngapla, *** post *** inapplyan m?

    @blue_mintz

    hav heard that "dollar-rated" thing too, hehehe....that's why i wanna take chances....

    ^what's your current job ba? sa banking industry ka ba?

    unfortunately, im unemployed for some time na , hehehe. but i worked previously with a shared service center in makati. i left 'coz di na ko masaya. it may not be a very wise decision esp at this time of economic downturn. im a bit worried na rin kc di na ko bumabata...and until now, im really not sure what job i really want...but definitely not something na associated to backoffice support na sana....

    ahhh ok! pinaganda na daw yung ADB now ah. i mean inaayus yata yung structure! haha! i also want to work here pero kelangan ng experience muna

  8. #8
    ah ****.....sounds good! sana this re-structuring would mean more job opportunities, hehehe...

    thanks knix! *** ka na ba dun ngayon? san ka na-assign? panu ka nakapasok dun? based dun sa lumang thread, thru-agency daw sila dati eh. totoo b ito?

    Ang alam ko everyone has to submit a personal history form (can be downloaded from the ADB site) -- excel file na 4 pages. Dollars ang rate for Professional Staff and Peso rate for Local Staff.

  12. #12
    super demanding ang requirements nila..
    parang secretaries doon, MBA ang natapos..
    peso ang sweldo.. expats lang ang dollars..
    the best is walang tax.. kahit 1000 lang ang i report mo for the whole year, pwede.. ang style nila is through agency, para nga naman mas mura ang ibabayad nila.. pero kung nahire ka talaga nila directly, sarap ng buhay mo.. kailangan my reference ka sa loob tapos napakataas ng pinagaralan mo or bawi sa experience.. hehe

  13. #13
    What sort of experience do you need ba? Only in banking lang?

    Hi Chic17,

    I don't think racism is the right thing. It's more of cultural differences. Saka tayo din kasing mga Pilipino ang may kagagawan kung bakit tayo dinidiscriminate. Although, hindi talaga mawawala yan. You just to prove yourself that you are worth every penny that ADB pays. I'm not trying to malign ADB as an institution. Employees there are still better off than other private institutions. Maliban na lang in comparison with other MNCs and other multilateral organizations like World Bank, UN, etc. May kanya kanyang differences talaga yan. I am just trying to clarify some misconceptions about employment in ADB. Pero if you're career driven, this is not the place for you. However, if you want stability in terms of employment, salaries and benefits then go ka dito. Maganda ang retirement pay dito....if you manage your finances wisely, milyonaryo ka na pag nagretire ka. And that is a big plus!
