So, anyone from PEX joining this tourney? In another forum, some posters are actually thinking of joining the tilt. After all, the 200,000 championship cash prize is appealing enough for the average hopeful, plus the fact that regional champions (qualifiers) will have half of that and 1/4 of the grand prize for the regional runners-up.

i've heard news that they are limiting the qualifying teams to 60 because there are lots of squads who wants to join and even some 17 years old and below are appealing to the organizers that they should adjust the age limit...

Anyway, i do think this will be an interesting inter-barangay of sorts and shown on national TV. What do you think?

Also... A Quick question: if you had the chance to select the (male) host for this show who would you choose?

A. An established college star who has the face value but has questionable hosting skills--- he has a couple of shows with a local network, and is really popular (especially with girls) in basketball and maybe even outside of it

OR

B. An established host who has good enough TV-face appeal but is quite old but doesn't enjoy the popularity of the latter... He knows his stuff and is currently one of three hosts in a daily show for a local network.

You are the Executive Producer, which one would you favor and hire?

If anything is final, i can post the names immediately. But the thing is, until there's a contract signed it's really just speculation. There are a lot of other candidates which i feel are not really made for tv/basketball and for a show this type.

And additionally, just as i mentioned in the Sharon Yu Thread at the UAAP board, she is the most likely female host to join the Clear Future League team. Barring any last minute changes of course.

Interesting concept for a show. Kaya pala, may nakikita akong teasers sa Jack TV. Wag lang sana BTV writers ang humawak nito.

I'd go for A, Marketing-wise.

This is not a game or a feature show which needs a great experienced host. It's a basketball tournament where minimal hosting is only needed. He's a basketball player and I think has a high basketball IQ so he'll do just fine here. Besides, this is the first time CLEAR is doing this so they better think of getting great score on Market Share.

If it's not Boyet Sison or Bill Velasco then there's no other choice but Jinno Rufino for B.

However, Jinno isn't old unless you consider 29 or 30 old. Ouch!

On TV? Of course, that is old. Too bad, he isn't the choice. Letter A wins by a mile as according to the decision of the powers that be. This will be an interesting combination to say the least.
