That sounds like the ideal situation indeed. However, for it to work, both sides should have something of common interest to say. I once dated a girl in her early 20's whose conversation centered mostly on fashion, movie/TV personalities, and about her officemates (whom I've never met and had no interest of knowing about their lives). Needless to say, that was our first and last date.
