    Burong Mangga

    mga ka-PEX, pano ba magburo ng manggang hilaw?... although ang mangga dito sa amin eh di kaasiman - puwede na rin siguro... masarap kasi itong kombinasyon sa tuyo, dilis, tinapa, daing na bangus o kahit na anong isdang prito....

    i know two ways to do burong mangga:

    1. slice green mangoes into strips. babad sa asin for 3-4 hours (longer kung sobra asim ng mangga). blanch then wash in tap water. gawa ka ng caramel (sweetness to suit your taste), add water enough to cover the sliced mangoes in a tightly sealed container. Refrigerate. Good to eat after 3-4 days. (mas masarap ito sa "kalabaw" na variety ng mangga.)

    2. slice green mangoes. chop garlic (approx. 1tsp garlic:1 med size mango). mix mangoes, garlic, salt to taste. add water enough to cover the mangoes in a tightly sealed container. Keep at room temperature 2-3days. Refrigerate after opening. (minsan, we add a little sliced sili for that little bite)

    i suggest na gawa ka muna ng konti para makuha mo ang tamang timpla. enjoy!
