Advice naman po mula sa mga grumadweyt or currently nag-aaral sa UP Law...

(1) Pag ba ni-opt mo na mag evening classes (5 years) this 1st sem, mahihirapan ka na bang humabol or mag-finish in 4 years pag gusto mo ng mag full time sa 2nd sem?

(2) Meron ba dito napagsabay ang pag-work at pag-aaral?

(3) Ano mga subjects sa first sem at anong sked pag full time students? Pano pag sa evening class? Sabi nila 5PM to 9PM daw pag evening class, tama po ba?

3. Check the UP law site for the subjects. Pag day class usually anywhere between 9am to 5pm. Pag evening 6-9pm, but sometimes profs extend to as late as 12 midnight

KUYAS AND ATE, can someone recommend a place to stay in Diliman? Nagtanong po ako sa mga dorms, but apparently, they need an admission slip from COL daw para maentertain ang request for a slot. Pero ang release po noong sa aming freshman ay May 23 pa. Ngayon pa nga lang po almost taken na ang lhat ng slots. Help po please? Salamat po. God bless.

thanks for the reply pugTM. i have another concern...when are the other documents due? the 200 who weren't required an interview were asked to submit OTR, etc. the interview passers were asked a letter of intent and 5k lnag. i came from a far-flung provincial school so i worry that i may not be able to beat deadlines. going to upd twice (lae and the interview) all the way from mindanao is not a joke.

Hello. I suggest you call them or have a Manila-based friend call them. I think the OCS is sufficiently accommodating naman. Good luck!

Fellow UP Law Incoming Freshman here. I got in din through the interview, at ang deadline of confirming for your slot is until May 2, tapos ang credentials (OTR, Certificate of graduation, Photocopy of Birth Certificate from NSO [original to be presented] and 2 passport size pictures yata, sorry ito lang mga naalala ko, i'll go back on you later pag may naalala pa ako) ay to be submitted on or before May 9. Tapos, May 23 ang release ng admission letter natin. afterwards pwede ng magpa-Medical. Then June 6 ang enrolment tapos during that week ang ADAPT at mock recits. The week after that, June 11, I believe, start na ng classes.

Hope i helped. I will go to UPD tomorrow to check on apartment units, so kung may tanong ka pa, i can ask the OCS ng COL for you tomorrow. God bless.

You're welcome. I think naman nasabi na ni Jurori_Brie ang mga requirements na kailangan. I think you still need to call the OCS though. Nung nagpasa ako ng LOI nung April 12 pinapunta pa rin ako ng Cashier's Office para magbayad ng Php100 evaluation/admission fee. I'm not sure how you're going to do this if you're in the province. So call the OCS and ask for workarounds.

oh and the deadline for your LOI is May 2 right? I hope LBC works during labor day. Call the OCS if you fear that your LOI and Php5k won't get here in time.

All subjects are only offered for that particular semester. For first sem, the only pre-req subject is Crim1->Crim2.

It's better to take the evening class muna. Mahirap magresign sa trabaho tapos after a month or two gusto mo bumalik sa work hehe.

Ok...Salamat! Sorry kung makulit pero may tanong pa ulit ako. Tinitingnan ko kasi iyong curriculum ng evening and day class.

Iyong mga subjects lang ba na may "1" and "2" ang dapat kunin in that order (e.g. Rem Law 1->Rem Law 2, Crim1->Crim2) or may iba pang subjects na pre-req ng iba pero di halata sa pangalan?

Gusto ko kasi magkaroon ng idea kung paano ako hahabol if ever na mag evening class ako for a year tapos mag full load sa second year. Gusto ko talaga mag 4 years sana pero alanganin pa ko mag-resign this year due to personal reasons.

Yung TOR ba kailangan original? I have an original but only 1 copy, and medyo di na ko makapag leave sa work kasi balak ko na mag resign. I only have this week to complete the docs, so I could just have someone submit them on May 9.

Would anyone know kung pwede photocopy and ippresent na lang yung original kapag nag submit (like the birth certificate)? Otherwise, I'll just submit what I have right now and kukuha na lang ako ng bago for my copy.

And certificate of graduation, sa college to kinukuha diba (UP undergrad din ako)?

hi hayraga. I don't think there's a partial payment scheme in UP, so yes, we'll have to pay everything in full. Anyone can correct me on this though.

Some people just don't pay on time then they make a letter addressed to the OUR asking that they be allowed to pay. I'm not sure if this will fly in law school but I've done this a few times in undergrad. Good advice or bad advice, you decide.
