It depends. But at least you should have finished 5-7 levels of Spanish to cover basic sentence construction and grammar rules. And from there, gauge yourself. If you can pretty much communicate with people in Spanish continuously, then I think you're ok na.

Process is usual. You go through the same set of interviews like a normal call center agent but they would normally require you to speak to their Spanish-speaking client, send you to Berlitz for an assessment and the like. Job offer usually depends on your level of proficiency.

Thanks! I chose to study Spanish because I think it is the easiest foreign language that we, Filipinos, could learn aside from English since our languages contain thousands of Spanish words. Kaya lang, every Spanish speaking country has its own accent, Spanish is spoken very fast in some countries, many Spanish words differ in usage and meaning in some Spanish speaking countries. Sana nga masanay ako.

Just curious, Do your spanish speaking customers sometimes ask where your location is? Are you allowed to tell them that you're from the Philippines? Is it easy for them to find out that you're not a native Spanish speaker?

Spanish is definitely the easiest language we could learn if you'd ask me. From my experience, hardest customers to talk with are lolos and lolas. Kahit sa mga French-speaking Canadians. Their accents are harder to understand and they can get pretty impatient. Yes, customers do ask my location and I tell them I'm from the Philippines. No issues naman. Natutuwa pa sila that Filipinos can speak Spanish pa nga There are some who really talk fast and sometimes hindi ko magrasp yung vocabulary nila since it's different from what I've learned in school. Pero technique is, I confirm with them their concern Ok naman...

Yes IBM Business Services in qc, sa philcoa ako naka base *****, again I do not too much calls, so netting around 30k+ is good enough, again knowing a foreign language is a good investment

Since most of you studied Spanish in IC, sino para sa inyo yung coolest and not-so-cool professor? hehehe, katuwaan lang.

coolest for me is Ade the bestttttt. Passion for teaching talaga her patience is just something to admire

When I started studying spanish sa IC wala ako background at all sa spanish kaya nahirapan me lalo na sa conjugation and dami setbacks i would stop tapos go back again then medyo mahirap, then i felt like anong level nko di parin me marunong makicommunicate at d pa confident.
But just like anything new you just have to let it flow read/watch/ and practice talaga. d mo npapansin na medyo ngiging confident kn
I guess for anyone n dito nag-aral its difficult to be fluent kc me mga idiomatic expression etc and the fact n hindi tayo masyado exposed even now nangangapa me sumtimes sa work but with practice and motivation

    Coolest teacher at IC

I know many may not agree with me but I like Prof Macario. Not many of my classmates like him. He was my prof during Level 1 and I did not learn anything!

And then we enrolled for Level 2, and he was my teacher again! I was disappointed at first but I was suprised how good of a teacher he was. I don't know if the schedule has something to do with it. Sa Level 1 kasi, night sched kami, so I think pagod na siya magturo Pero nung Level 2, morning sched kami. In all fairness, natuto ako ng husto ng level 2! Madaming interactions, exercises and role plays. he's one tough teacher din i must say...

So if you're gonna get him, dapat morning sched!

I like Prof Trini. I don't know if she's still there. She's super nice and teaches well
