that and.. Do androids dream of electric sleep?

from your list above which imagined world would you be in?

  3. #3
If I were to live in one of those worlds? Pretty difficult... hahaha! Maybe I'd go for The Giver. It seems to be the least frightening XD

    Neuromancer.

I'd like to be one of these "console cowboys" roaming the streets of Chiba City.

the giver doesn't seem scary, it's just that they're too organized, but i can live with that.

a brave new world can't be that bad either. you have everything you need, sex, booze and drugs. haha. somaaa!

add: the gilead from the handmaid's tale by margaret atwood. now that's scary, especially if you're female.

You can also get the same from the world of A Clockwork Orange...especially when you run with Alex and his droogs

    Battle Royale!

    Neuromancer pwede din. Cyberpunk eh.

I can't live in Fahrenheit 451 (take anything except my books) or 1984 (for fear of getting caught by the Thought Police).

Battle Royale FTW! i've always wondered what it would be like to murder people. j/k

or in Stephen King's The Dark Tower.

  11. #11
^LOL kahit yung avatar mo Battle Royale din.

I am not familiar with the other books though. So I guess BR world ako.

^I don't think you can consider Cowboy Bebop's world as Dystopia.
muka lang dahil puro kriminal mga hinahabol nila.
and of course, where better for them to hide than wastelands.
Ganymede sure is a nice planet.

    ------------------------------------------------

from the list, I'd choose Neuromancer.
where the sky is the color of television, tuned to a dead channel

    ------------------------------------------------

    add ko to :

set in the planet of Worlorn. A rouge planet with an erratic course.
14 cities built there by 14 worlds to celebrate for a few years, when Worlorn was in range of a star, giving warmth and life.
At the time of the novel, Worlorn is now coming out of range of light. And the cities are mostly abandoned.

Pwede ba yung mundo ng "The Matrix"? Kasi parang astig yung idea na iilan nalang ang tao sa mundo tapos may savior kayo and stuff

    Same din sa Terminator series.

Among those provided, I'd love to be in Gibson's sprawl. If only because I'm an information addict. hehe

And I nominate The Queen's Hive from “Sinner, Baker, Fabulist, Priest; Red Mask, Black Mask, Gentleman, Beast” by Eugie Foster, (text here)which has parallels to "The Giver", although there are arguments that it's a non-human dystopia. Of course, in this case, I'd most likely be...

"...the flaw in a carefully wrought plan." *evil grinnicism*

pwede ba Middle Earth (from LOTR)?
