They'll make you something too big and too long, with wide boxy shoulders and stiff fusing. They might even add superfluous design details which have no place on a man's suit (like those full length pleats and square(!) pocket flaps on Ryan Agoncillo's horrific wedding suit).
You're better off getting something off the rack at Marks & Spencer.
I agree. To be specific - "designers" don't know anything about men's suit. What they do know how to make are uniform suits for teachers, department store sales people, the military, etc.
Is Bergamo still around? 12 years ago I had suits custom-made by them and they did an excellent job. I had to be specific though with the cut, the fit and lengths of the sleeves and the jacket. The tailors were trained in Hong Kong - which was then as close to having tailors from London's Saville Row as you can get.
san ako bibili ng pocket square at pano susuotin un?
pocket squares are easy to wear fold it and put into left chest pocket of the suit. use the presidential fold, preferably around .25 inch peaking out. it's not only easy it's simple and it's pleasing...buy a white one, you can never go wrong with a white square, use it best for black or grey suits, even white.
Tip: buy linen squares ('handkerchiefs'), easier to fold and stays in there far longer. silk ones are a ***** not so much to fold (but they are too) but putting into the suit pocket.
My trick: fold square on a soft cardboard, ... it helps you put it into the pocket, without the fold getting smooshed or getting loose.
suit from Comme ca ism except for the black polo which is from H&M and the tie from Men's Tenoras.

I don't know what to say.
This is how I wear my suits and how I pick my suits:
Simple old school but perfectly suited. To make it flare and look new, you have to carry it new. I don't wear weird ties, the pattern on suits are always standard no plaid or crazy patterns. I just find some patterns tacky...
Two of the celebrities I look up to suit fashion
Milo Ventimiglia- always perfected. I mean when he wears his suit by the book it's 'too formal' thus boring (I mean how many guys wear tie bars all the time? I do, but even those at the corporate don't because it's looks too formal), but the way he puts it together and the way he carries it , esp. done by really good fit and tailoring, makes it like it's a brand new fashion styling.
Gary Cooper- old school down to pat, but with attitude.

hey jade can you show off some fit pics please?
hey guys...just got a dress shirt from van heusen(that was on sale) and a vest from g2000. just asking kung pwede na 'to(with a pair of pants and leather shoes, of course) for our prom next month. just wanna know your opinion. thanks![]()
Add tie, a nice black belt, ...
...use a french cuff and use nice silver cuff links...
but IMHO it's a prom you'd probably do that once in your school life, I'd go full on. Plus if you're bringing a girl, well you gotta impress right?
Go with brown shoes, black pants, black belt, red tie or read and black tie ... I was going to suggest white tie, but my own rule I don't wear white ties unless it's some super formal event. Hopefully the clothes are fitted well. Good luck and have fun.
Your vest, it's not double breasted is it? The ones with fancy lapels (super formal ones for three pieces)?
^brown shoes? why?
thanks for the advice![]()
You gotta break the color scheme, I mean black vest, black shirt, pants belt and shoes? You going to a funeral?
Im planing on having a couple of suits made, I have heard that M. barretto makes the best suits in the country so Im planning on going there,
anyone had a suit made of him?
or do you guys recommend anyone other?
I recommend you go to Hong Kong and have a suit made at WW Chan instead.
I don't understand this logic. If you spend a lot of money on something, don't you want to get your money's worth? If you buy a Php45,000 suit and wear it only once, your cost-per-wear is P45,000. If you wear it M-W-F every week for a year, your cost-per-wear is P288.50.
