Ok, I just sort of stumbled onto their page on Facebook out of curiosity via my friends' feeds and I was in for a pleasant surprise, they sound good They've labeled themselves indie/pop/electronica

Here's their myspace profile with streaming songs: http://www.techyromantics.com

I will make it a point to see one of their gigs when I get the chance.

The metalheads here at M&R might cringe at my more recent musical preferences

    Bump? Come on, they're good.

Saw them a couple of times last year, around August/ September while I was in Manila. They remind me of Saint Etienne. I think they signed with Lilystars (The Camerawalls' label).

Heard of them through a friend. While I have yet to warm to them, I think they're gonna go far.

Hello! Yes, they are under Lilystars Records. They have a regular gig every Monday in Gweilos (Makati) called Electro Pop Mondays (Lilystars/The Pop Shoppe). They play alongside Turbo Goth.

It's 300 pesos. It opens @ 6 pm and should be available any day.

If you like UP Dharma Down, and Drip, it's so easy to like Touch. It's probably considerably more likeable than Taken By Car's album, by virtue alone of how polished the album was made. Maybe because of the MIDI synths.

  17. #17
Taken By Cars is a little on the heavier side compared to Techy Romantics.
