sothos, incoming AE-BSA ka di ba? well then...

    6. if you have classes in andrew, line up for the elevators at least 15 minutes in advance. IMPORTANT ITO!

    7. join orgs! i have to admit, it's kind of a hassle, but it always pays off in the end. not only do you gain new acquaintances, but you also learn new skills and talents.

    9. make friends with EACH one of your blockmates! magkakahiwalay din kayo eventually, pero sila-sila rin ang una mong malalapitan by then. (this is probably the most important thing i did )

    10. pray, pray, and pray!

    hope that helped.

I learned my lesson early.

    More tips:

    1. Enjoy LPEP! You'll really have lotsa fun, with your new set of friends of course.

    2. You gain more friends if you don't speak English. Hahaha. This is true, btw. I have a very konyo blockmate who frequently speaks in English everytime and everywhere. Everybody gets intimidated at her whenever she does so.

    3. Visit the thread "Profs to pick and avoid." You'll be eligible to pick your own schedule/profs come third term.

    4. Make use of the computer labs. They're all free.

    5. Always bring a flash drive with you. It's very useful especially if you're really into cramming (not I'm saying cramming is good).

    Another tip:

When plugging your USB into a school PC, make sure that all your files are backed up so that if the USB gets infected and you can't recover files you can just format it. From experience you need to be extra careful if plugging your USB in some of the labs in goks and in the library.

choose your profs very well.. don't choose your profs just because people say you can easily get a 4.0 or because they don't fail anyone.. Choose your prof based on their "qualities".. for both your major subj and floating subj..

looking back, I don't regret choosing my profs (except the ones that I didn't really have a choice) even if I really had to work my *** off. And besides, you'll be the one who will benefit from all your hardwork!
As for me, I really learned a lot from them.. plus, I enjoyed learning from them! Til now, I can still remember things I learned from them.. from my floating subj to my majors and even helpful tips that have nothing to do with my subj!

I totally agree with Aerix! Trust me, it's not worth getting your usb infected! (Been there, done that. )

angelber: I agree with you as well!

    - be friends with many people

    - know your schedule always
    - be organized

    - keep a sturdy case for all your paperworks.

    - be polite with your professors and other authorities in dlsu

    - Yes, join orgs and try to be active. Siyempre, academis first talaga

    - Be diligent and responsible. Yung iba hirap mag keep up sa trisem

    - be yourself and know your limits.

true. someone i know became a non-prio because of ENGLTWO/ENGLRES. that's all he ever failed.

    frosh survival tips:
    - wag papa-apekto masyado sa mga upper years na "bully" lalo na yung mga soph. isipin niyo nalang sila yung pinagtatawanan a year ago hehehe.
    - wag humarang sa hallways. it's the fastest way to annoy upperclassmen - and you don't want that to happen.
    - mingle with your blockmates but don't try to conform. find your crowd but without being biased
    - be yourself

  13. #33

    ^ you'll find out soon.
