    I bought the K401J last week po.
    And I can say that it's really really good.

    Pero I have some questions regarding the freebies po.
    Kasi I can't really find the email of Asus anywhere, and hindi naman ako makakapunta sa Manila branch nila kasi nasa Leyte ako eh.

    Can anyone help me po? :P

    Check the side of the box - that's the one you need to cut out and present at ASUSWorld when claiming your freebies. Based on my experience, they didn't even bother with my cut-out and photocopied my receipt from Asianic instead.

    had my RAM upgraded also today. pretty easy lang pala. akala ko naman babaklasin yung laptop.

    i-stress test ko nga to.. also for a 32-bit system, it can only read 3.5GB or RAM.

    i have a 64bit system which can see the entire 4gb ram.

    As far as I recall, ang mga freeebies ay makeclaim lamang on or before Dec 15. Not sure though!

    bad trip, seems I can't claim the freebies from ASUS, I just went to ASUS World in Megamall a while ago, punta na lang daw ako sa ASUS Philippines, which is located in Pasig. Pero may nabasa akong Notice sa ASUS World in Megamall na the last claim of the freebies will be until December 20, 2009. If the end-users are in the province, the ASUS Philippines will deliver the freebies thorugh DHL. siguro they have to coordinate na lang through ASUS Philippines.

    paano po ba ang pagpunta sa ASUS Philippines, the address is:

    United St. Brgy. Kapitolyo Pasig City...if I will coming from Alabang or in Robinsons Galleria...

    I bought an ASUS F52q last Aug from Complink Southmall sometime Nov the cooling fan was so noisy it made the nb vibrate. Sent it back to complink for repair 11/13 , tech in shop said 3 wks tops for svc, I was told it would be sent to ASUS (presumably pasig). Went back 2 wks after to ff-up as I needed it for work and was going out of Phils for a week. Tech said unit was sent to Tekzone and diagnosed blackout mobo need replacement, tech reported no parts available. This was two weeks after i gave the unit. Called yesterday (5wks and running), still same reply from Complink tech couldnt give definite turn around time bec unit is in tekzone (makati) and Tekzone wouldnt answer call after getting their contact nos. I hope that this wouldnt reach DTI case and media blitz but it looks like this is where its going. I believe Tekzone is their wholesale distributor and techsupport ctr, if its authorized ASUS tsc I do not know yet. Lesson learned here, be sure to know that the reseller goes direct on after sales service, not to their techs before buying the unit. Complink Southmall is fast in getting your money but very poor in after sales.

    Basa-basa ka lang, paps. You don't need to be a techie to be able to troubleshoot, update, or tweak your laptop. Ganyan lang din naman nagsimula ang lahat, eh. Check out other forums or the ASUS support community since this is a known issue and can be resolved on the consumer end.

    Na-post ko na to dun sa isang theread where you have posted, try following na lang what the others have done. As for me kasi, the webcam worked perfectly well after installing my Vista OS (Vista Starter OEM lang kasi ang kasama nung laptop ko when I bought it). Thinking of installing Windows7 pero in the near future pa. Waiting for my Linux UBuntu CD so that I can try out Linux as well.
