just bought the K40IN (the no OS set) and just installed windows 7 myself. so far it has been great. haven't tried video editing yet and games though.

anu maganda model ng asus na mini laptop?

eto po sana mga gusto ko appearance

* mini laptop
* if possible color pink or white
* girly or kikay look

sa specs, hindi ko alam kung anu ok. anu ba ok for me?

* im more of just a net surfer [facebook, multiply, tumblr, twitter]

* malaki memory kc i love storing pictures and songs

* basic photo editing lang

* i love to download songs din, movies and series. Pero im thinking i can download sa PC na lang namin at home. then watch it or transfer it sa laptop na bibilin ko.

* games, yung tipong online games lang na plants vs zombies, zuma etc pero kahit wala na to hehe

oh, and i have a budget of 18k lang.
suggestions please.

for 17500php you can get the last Asus EEE 1005HA over at PC Corner Mega branch pink color (give them a call if available pa, it was available 3 weeks ago). you might opt for a 2GB RAM upgrade, just make sure it doesn't nullify the 1-year warranty.

if wala na at pc corner, you can get it for 18k at most stores. for an additional $$$ you can get the 250GB + Win 7 version but mind you, the Win 7 installed is just a starter edition. i opted for the older but reliable Win Xp instead.

#1 complaint about the 1005HA is the ac adapter (charging issues) going bonkers in a couple of days or weeks. other than that, this netbook has had good reviews. i've been using mine for about a month and no problems so far.

there's a difference between a 10.1" netbook and your regular 13"-15" laptops in terms of capabilities. if you can live with that difference then you'll be satisfied with this netbook.

hi i just called PC Corner Mega, isa na lang ang pink! at baka daw wala ng next na darating dahil inuubos na lang nila. and sabi nung gil 18, 800 daw yun which is ok lang siguro ang prob ko lang isa na lang hmp!

The screen for one - since you said that you like plan on watching movies and series on your netbook, I'm not sure that you'll be comfortable watching on a 10" screen.

Plants Vs Zombies is a desktop game and not an online game. You can still play that in the 1005HA but I don't know how the experience works.

Battery life is good with the 1005HA. No optical drive since it's a netbook so you better have a mean Anti-virus for this one.

ayaw ko ng mga mini laptop, parang magsasayang lang ako ng pera. maliit kasi ang screen, di ko ma-aapreciate kung may pinapanood ako. saka di ba maliliit lang ang capacity ng hard drives neto...

i just bought an asus laptop the k40ij series, a while ago. ask ko lang po how to claim the freebies, meron kasing instruction yung Gigahertz...thats where i bought the laptop, na i email yung asus...with the scanned sales invoie and the valid ID...di ko alamif punta [pa ba ako ng SM megamall to claim the freebies, lapit na rin ng DEcemeber 15...sayang din ang printer eh and the globe tattoo...

You can still claim the Canon Printer and Globe tattoo after December 15. You need to buy the laptop on or before the 15th, though.

The easiest way to go about it is to bring your invoice and the serial number cut-out at ASUSWorld in Megamall. Once there, they'll just photocopy your invoice and give you your freebies.
