ex: defeating a boss..
without guide: ikaw mismo ang hahanap ng way para ma defeat yun. pag iisipan mo talaga.
with guide: go this this corner, use this weapon and rapidly press X. wala ng thrill. parang di satisfying yung gaming experience.
Back in the PSX days there was only a 15-block (note: not MB) memory card that is sold at P500. Having played many games it's easy to fill that memory card, specially with games that costs more that one block to save. Some games have a fixed block amount for a fixed number of save games; case of Digimon World 2 is 3 blocks for 3 save slots.
Now what if you were to, say, save at every game keypoints? Save the game every pre-scenario, mid-scenario, and post-scenario. How many unique save times would that be? Like hell you'd count, you'd just overwrite a saved game anyway. But too bad, you didn't realize that the keypoint that will nab you the most powerful thing in the game was the saved game you've just overwritten 35 minutes ago.
I had to roll back 18 hours of play time just because I missed getting Tifa's panties on her drawer during the flashback. That meant watching the sword go through Aeris TWICE.
Actually Cait Sith Prototype I's last fortune telling made me baawww more, which is still Aeris-related. but watching the scene with the perfectly-timed on cue of Aeris' Theme, the subsequent scene made more bitter-sweet by the creative imagination, and the eventual boss battle still maintaining the previous theme in the background giving it a cinematographic dramatic ambiance still strikes me ever so often.
Pareho tayo.
Persona 4 comes to mind. Are there missables in this game?"
Good luck sa trial and error mo.
most people use walkthrough for "completeness sake" (collection, best weapon, etc)
nothing really bad...
if you did use one from start to end in your first playthrough...![]()
in the end, nasa iyo pa rin kung mag-enjoy ka sa paglalaro.
Pag original yung game, nakaka hinayang gumamit ng walkthrough.
first time around, no walkthrough; but the next time I'll play (IF I enjoy it that much), may walkthrough na, tapos lahat na nang pwedeng gawin sa game gagawin ko (as in may plan na - stat boosts, getting rare items, doing the secrets...).
pag-natalo mo ang isang kalaban or nasolve mo ang isang puzzle on your own, ang sarap sa pakiramdam. mapapasigaw kang bigla, "OH YEAH!! WHO'S YOUR DADDY NOW!?!
pero pag meron, sasabihin mo lang, "so... ganun pala yun"
so yung walkthrough is good para sa completion ng game on the 2nd playthrough. perfection ika nga.
First playthrough, di ako nagwawalkthrough. Maganda yung feeling na nadidiscover mo yung game through playing and not by reading.
i use it to complete achievements, items, summons, badtrip kasi pag meron namiss at di na mababalikan >.<
first playthrough no walkthrough para full gaming experience and sariling diskarte lang..
second playthrough with walkthrough na for secrets and sidequest na namiss ko..
tried sometimes without the walkthrough mahirap minsan you have to figure it out, so i do with with one.
