    LA Tenorio vs Jason Castro

Enough of the tenorio vs artadi debate. it's silly. tenorio's way better. period.

Castor and tenorio are the league's 2 top young pure pg's (reyes and mercado are more combo guards than pg's).

Both lightning quick, highly skilled pg's who's had great amateur careers. both very good ballhandlers, passers, pesky defenders. LA's d better shooter(top 5 in d pba in 3pt %), castro d more athletic, stronger player and gets to d rim better. LA's a better playmaker and has a higher bball I.Q. but for me castro has better natural talent.

    Who's better?

castro. mamang-mama na si castro eh.

Physically, castro has the big edge indeed.

ngayon castro for his physical strengths but down the road I'll pick tenorio because me thinks that he would become a more complete player than castro,

    tenorio..
imho, la's leadership, intensity and ability to orchestrate offense(run and gun, halfcourt, triangle, etc..) makes him an exceptionally better player than other pg's. plus galing magshoot, magdribble., magdefend.... complete package

    ngayon its tenorio..

what's next? jason castro vs paul artadi.....meron na kase la tenorio vs paul artadi eh...

  10. #10
Hopefully none. cause castro's waaay better than artadi as well.

    here's a better debate: artadi vs ty t@ng. i'd go for t@ng.

^^ hihi..hater talaga ni paul to..im thinking taga ateneo ka no?=)

gusto ko talagang match up *** castro mercado...

I'm not an artadi hater actually. i just see him as d player he is. very quick w d ball, great in transition, but can't shoot. if he loses some of his speed and quickness, expect artadi to be out of d pba. that's unless he suddenly finds a jumpshot which is highly unlikely given this stage of his career.

Castro vs mercado is indeed a great match up. they played briefly together at harbour but sol didn't show his true game in d pbl.

For me its not a good comparison kung ngayon ang pag uusapan.

Because, kitang kita naman kung playmaking ability ang pag uusapan, way ahead si LA Tenorio kay Jason Castro!

Tenorio is a pure point guard & Jason Castro is more of a scoring guard or a shooting guard.

Dapat siguro ang comparison ay LA Tenorio's Rookie Year at Jason Castro's Rookie Year.

One guy is just a semis away from getting the Season MVP while the other guy is going nowhere...

Put LA Tenorio in Talk & Text uniform and Jason Castro in Alaska? Who do you think has the edge?

sadly, fantasy speculation is a weak argument. So let's rest this thread until makakuha ng singsing si tenorio..

^That is actually a big factor and a legit point. Gauging them based on their skill level, Tenorio has a very high probability to duplicate Castro's success if place in a similar situation. The same goes for Castro's dim chance if put in Tenorio's current situation.

Not counting Championships, I say they are fairly equal at this point. Castro has edge on athleticism but Tenorio is the better playmaker. The rest I say they are at the same level.

Two top pointguards today. Would've been swell to see Tenorio suit up for BMEG and match up against Castro and TNT for an All Filipino Championship.

^they have and Tenorio won Finals MVP. It goes to show that Tenorio can definitely carry a team on a level playing field (Alaska had a more competitive line up then). Not taking away from Castro's championship but he is truthfully with more ammo to begin with.

So yeah, both top caliber gun but you don't go to war without enough ammo right. But if this were tennis, its like watching a very long rally between Nadal and Federer.

I see these guys as the next JJ VS Jimmy Part 2 in the next years to come. Neck to neck matchup until they retire with Cabagnot in and out of the picture ala Mike Cortez. This is just my opinion though.
