first time I heard Lie one of my first impressions din was it sounded a bit country. i think it was mentioned in the previous thread that Lie has a country vibe to it. si bitter yata nagsabi and I agreed hehe.

Sabi ko nga kanina, baka nagda-download yung mga nakatanggap ng iTunes gift cards - related to this, interesting yung post from the BB thread that I quoted kanina, that DCTR is one of the most gifted, and among the most "wish list-ed" albums
I read something interesting sa The Dash. Someone said that the feed that has DCTR at #19 does not include the Xmas albums. Kaya siguro nung tinignan ko ulit sa iTunes, #43 pa rin yung DCTR.

soli, peeps from DCO were discussing before that Lie could actually make a crossover to country radio. So if Lie were to be officially released as a single, imagine how many radio formats would play it: Top 40, HAC, AC and well, country (that's if they'd consider releasing it to country radio).

    DCTR keeps going and going...
    Sun, 12/28/2008 - 10:00 — sky1234

    Itunes numbers
DCTR # 18, Light On #39, Bouncy David (vid) #86.
    SP percent decrease = -25%.
    Amazon = # 10.
Don't mind the SP %, it's based on last week's exaggerated estimate (tipong 150% yata ).

Exag naman kasi ang SP with their estimates.

    Worldwide album sales for 2008

    Sun, 12/28/2008 - 10:24 — ladymadonna

Despite the fact that they seem to only be crediting DCTR with ~15,000 units sold outside the U.S., this site ranks the album as the 49th best-selling record of 2008 world-wide (note that the site methodology emphasizes these are estimates only, so take this for what it's worth). Still cool to see him in the top-50 after only five weeks, and interesting how artists like Adele, Kings of Leon, Take That, The Killers, etc. are in reality much more successful than we may perceive when when factoring-in international sales.

Yay for Lie. I think a couple of folks are also speculating that "Lie" could make a good exit song for AI 8. It may not be the obvious choice but this verse :

Don’t want to believe in this ending
    Let the camera’s roll on
    Keep pretending
Tomorrow’s all wrong if you walk away
    Just stay

    makes me think so too.

Hello again Cha . Exit song like Home, Bad Day, and uhmm Celebrate me Home. Yung kinakanta after every elimination of a contestant.

The exit song, being played after every episode (starting sometime during the hollywood rounds I think (?), gets a lot of exposure and hopefully... a boost in sales.

che, not sure, but I think for AI 7 it's Celebrate Me Home by Ruben Studdard ( ay wait, didn't he sing this after Day 1 of the AI Finals... naalala ko yung biglang umakyat yung sign ng AI tapos nandoon na pala si Ruben ... nagulat ako ).

I think for a time they also used What About Now of Daughtry... but not as an exit song... sort of like a featured song.

For season 6 ( I hope I'm right... will check), that's when they used Home as the exit song.
