SYNOPSIS

When their husbands were killed by the Song army, two pregnant women found safe haven in foreign lands. Li Ping gave birth to Guo Jing, a sturdy but blockheaded young man who roamed the Mongolian prairie with the family of Temujin. Bao Xi Ruo gave birth to Yang Kang, a smart and crafty young man who became the son of Wanyan Hong Lie, a successor of the Jin empire. When a pact between their martial arts masters brought them together and the truth behind their fathers' deaths was revealed, one found martial arts enlightenment and a cause greater than his own while the other descended into darkness and destroyed everything and everyone around him.

He is a chivalrous man with a strong sense of justice in the original version. The kind Kwok Jing would not hurt anyone in the 2008 version.

* Ariel Lin as Huang Rong

In the original version of LOCH, Huang Rong is the world's most cleverest and brightest woman. However, as compared to the original version, Huang Rong will not be as mischievous but would be more clever and intelligent.

* Yuan Hong as Yang Kang (Wanyan Kang)

In the original version, he is greedy and vainglorious. Yang Kang in the 08 version, however have to struggle between his identities as a Yang's heir and the Prince of Jin Guo.

* Liu Shi Shi as Mu Nian Ci

She is cold but when it comes to love, she refuse to wake up. Yet in the new version, she has big foot. She falls in love with Yang Kang after the latter washes her legs.

initially, i got confused with the titles in the Condor Trilogy esp on this one. i remember GMA aired "The Return of the Condor Heroes" but for some reason they aired it using the title "Legend of the Condor Heroes" (or Love of the Condor Heroes ba yung ginawa nilang title? naku, mali na nga ini-edit pah!) which was actually wrong. i've seen ROCH this yr in DVD an i liked it, not realizing the title was wrong so when i came across Ariel Lin's new drama LOCH, i certainly got confused. i even thought LOCH is the sequel. if i hadn't researched, i would still probably be left in the dark up to these days.

this is exactly what im saying. people thought the real "Legend of the Condor Heroes" was the one shown in GMA. they actually had the title wrong bec the one they aired was called the "Return of the Condor Heroes".

yung sinasabi mong Fairy na hindi tumatanda sa ROCH, she's a mainland china actress named Crystal Liu. now, for the real LOCH drama, it starred Taiwanese actress Ariel Lin and the rest of the casts i believe were all from mainland China.
