Try using LRT, your stop-over can be Central Terminal or D.Jose Stations.
If you choose Central Terminal, there is a jeepney terminal going to Mendiola area. Its stop-over is at the other side of CEU, you have to walk from there.
If you choose D.Jose Station, you will have to walk towards Recto, then ride a jeepney going to Cubao or any other jeep going to that direction. When you see the intersection of Mendiola and Legarda, alight the jeep and walk from there.
