riddle me this, riddle me that, who is afraid of the big, black Bat???
Nolan voiced out that he is not a fan of 3-D. So Batman 3 will most likely come in 2-D, but it still depends on Warner Bros.' decision.

^^A good film like Nolan's upcoming "Batman 3" does not need cheap-a** gimmickry such as 3-D to sell. Leave the3-D to animation-related films.
Norton on Batman Role
"I think I said everything I want to say in the one thing I put out about that" he explained. "It was a great privilege to do it, and I couldn't be more appreciative of everybody's support and positivity towards that because I love those films too. And I hate it when they miss. I hate it when they miss on one - it seems like such a wasted opportunity. But the truth is I'm probably more naturally interested in doing something that I haven't done. I have only good thoughts towards that though."
Norton revealed that the situation hasn't put him off the notion of superhero movies however, saying that if a good project came along, he's sign up.
"Chris Nolan's making the best ones out there by far" he explained "I'd do one with him. He's set a new bar for sure, and I think he's done a great, great job."

Chris Nolan Finally Confirms He's Directing the Third Batman
Christopher Nolan has officially come on board to direct the film. Empire asked the director if we could safely assume he’s directing the film and he responded, “I think you can at this point, yes.” That’s good, because we pretty much had been assuming he was directing already.
Michael Caine told The Chris Moyles Show and said he believed the movie will “probably start in May next year”. Batman 3 is still slated for a July 20, 2012 release date.
On The Chris Moyles Show, Caine added that Nolan and co-writer/brother Jonathan aren’t telling anyone who the villain is. But that isn’t stopping anyone from heavy speculation on which nemesis will be squaring off against Bats and who will play him/her.
The most recent rumor was that the Riddler would be the villain and that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was interested in the role. As for who won’t be the villain, Nolan has confirmed that he has a soul and won’t bring back the Joker.
Tom Hardy Cast in ‘Batman 3′
Tom Hardy (Inception, Bronson, the hopefully forthcoming Mad Max films) has been cast by Christopher Nolan in the third Batman film. There are no details on the role, or whether it is a villain or other part.
sana naman new villain, huwag na yung mga natapos ng role kagaya ni riddler, penguin, catwoman, bane at mr freeze...
Official Batman 3 Title - "The Dark Knight Rises"
Christopher Nolan confirmed this morning that the official title of Batman 3 will be The Dark Knight Rises. The director then went onto tell The Los Angeles Times that long-rumored villain The Riddler will not be the main antagonist in this third installment of his hugely successful Batman saga.
About who would be appearing in the latest chapter of this DC Comics adaptation, Nolan stated:
"We'll use many of the same characters as we have all along, and we'll be introducing some new ones."
Christopher Nolan Says No to 3D On THE DARK KNIGHT RISES
Christopher Nolan’s new Batman movie titled "The Dark Knight Rises" will not be shot, or retrofitted, for 3D. However, while Nolan will not use 3D, he does hint at something special on the horizon.
“We’re looking to do something technologically that’s never been done before,” Nolan said. “Our ambitions are to make a great movie.”
“There’s an intimacy at times [with spatial illusion of the 3-D effect] and we didn’t want to lose scale…Our ambition for the third movie is to complete a story that has begun. This is not starting over, this not rebooting. We’re finishing something, and keeping a consistency with what’s come before has real value.”
The Dark Knight Rises is set to start filming in April for a July 2012 release.
im happy kung dumating dito c selina kyle!!! plss kahit wag na c catwoman
IF they want to go out with a bang the two villains that should be in this movie is Riddler and Bane.If Bane is in the story it will be the most violent fight Batman will ever have onscreen,if they stick with the comic-book over the top roid user depiction.
whew! finally, Batman 3 has an official title. soon enough, we will finally know who the antagonists are. exciting!
Christopher Nolan Holding Auditions For Female Lead In Batman 3
The casting of Tom Hardy in Batman 3 two weeks ago was major news for many reasons. For one, following his performance in Inception, more Tom Hardy is always a good thing. More importantly, however, it means that the gears of pre-production for the next installment in the series are finally in motion and that we will start hearing more and more news about the project as we move towards the filming stage. That process continues now.
Movie Hole is reporting that Christopher Nolan has started meeting with actresses in their "late 20′s, early 30′s" for an undisclosed part in the superhero sequel. From the report, it seems as though Nolan isn't aiming for an A-lister and is instead looking for a fresh face. The site has some names of applicants, but they've requested to remain anonymous until they are certain that they have not gotten the part. The site does estimate that we will have the name of the actress selected in a few weeks.
Just like the Hardy casting, all we can do now is speculate based on what we know about Nolan's Batman films and the history of the Caped Crusader. It's entirely possible that the new actress will fill the role left after the death of Rachel Dawes in The Dark Knight as the new romantic interest, but let's have a little more fun, shall we?

The title is fine, but the critical part will be the selection of the villains.

Rumor: The Dark Knight Rises Wants Charlize Theron and Vera Farmiga
Charlize Theron has been approached to play a Detective named Sarah Essen--a love interest for Jim Gordon. Actresses Kacie Thomas and Vera Farmiga have auditioned for the character role of Julie Madison, a love interest for Bruce Wayne.
Six Actresses Shortlisted for Two Roles in 'The Dark Knight Rises'
An actress short list for The Dark Knight Rises has turned up online, courtesy of Deadline.
Actresses that Christopher Nolan has been rumored to have met with include Anne Hathaway, Keira Knightley, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman, Naomi Watts and Rachel Weisz. The original article suggests that Nolan is casting for two different female roles, both that of Bruce Wayne's romantic interest and that of a female villain.
Two of the names that weren't mentioned in the story are Charlize Theron and Vera Farmiga. We reported last week that Charlize Theron is up for the role of Detective Sarah Essen and that Vera Farmiga had auditioned for Julie Madison, which will be the love-interest role for Bruce Wayne.
The Dark Knight Rises will star returning actors Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman as well as the recently-announced Tom Hardy in an unspecified role. The film will go into production shortly with a release planned for July 20, 2012.
