Brunei is a wonderful place, very rich culture, people come in different nationalities.. I lived there for quite sometime, spent my childhood there, and educated there as well. There isn't much to do in Brunei, except for visiting istanas, malls, which I believe, the US and European brands are more expensive when bought there, but the food is great, you should try eating kway-teow, nasi lemak, sate, and the list goes on, and oh, there's this halo halo, they call it champur champur, my faveit's their version of halo halo. We stayed in Seria, where you can see a lot of "donkeys" not the animal, but it's this structure used in getting oil or something, they call it "donkey." We used to go to SRC, it's a recreational club exclusive for Shell employees, it's there where I learned to swim, I dunno if SRC is still there. Kuala Belait is also a nice place, a lot of shops, but Seria is nicer
and oh not to mention Jerudong Park, it's like Enchanted Kingdom here. The admission is totally free, we had the chance to watch Janet Jackson performed there for free, even had the front seat
heheh. Brunei is a small country, it's only a dot on the map, you really can tour the whole country for a day
and also, you can even go to Miri, Malaysia by car. We did that every weekends.. sigh, miss those days back in Brunei, it's nice to reminisce that wonderful country.. sorry, quite lengthy
