Hi! I have this APC UPS BE500R-PH. Had the battery replaced more than a year ago (or 2 years). Now it's giving symptoms that it needs replacement. It's a 12V 7AH lead acid battery and does not cost cheap. Someone suggested why not use your old (but working) car battery (1NSF) instead.

Is this possible or will it burn my UPS?

Sells at 70-90k online via TPC and Sulit, depending on specs.

Hi All,

I bought a used laptop off Sulit. It was formatted clean so there's nothing except for Windows 7. While exploring, I saw that I have 20 days to activate Win7. What will happen if I don't activate it? The tried to contact the seller for the codes but he's not answering so I guess I need another solution. Can I still use the laptop even if Win7 is not activated? Is there another solution like purchasing pirated software? I can't afford original as of the moment so I'm worried that I made a mistake in buying this.

The backspace, [ , ], t , y, caps lock, 1 shift key isn't working. idk why, can you help? I'm using the on screen keyboard now. I don't think there's something wrong with the keyboard itself coz yesterday it functioned properly for a moment.

Anyway recently this is happening.:
After I open the computer it doesn't function properly for some time. When I click on the Firefox icon, for example, instead of opening, it just shows the properties of the application. Same goes to any other icon. When I click on Start or any drop down menus (i.e. File, Edit, right click) it quickly disappears so I have to do it again. If I manage to open Firefox, it won't open links by clicking, I need to open in new tab . Keyboard doesn't type letters when you press them, instead, they function as shortcut keys. For example, pressing b won't produce a B, it will drop down the bookmarks menu. Other signs that this problem is happening : the File menu is highlighted on and off even if the mouse isn't hovering over it, scrolling is slower than usual when using the mouse wheel.

Hi! I need an advise.
My OS windows7 build6700 has expired. This happened every time after a month of installation to my laptop (samsung). I can open the internet even if i don't have an OS but the connection is too slow. where can i get genuine OS?
I'm planning to downgrade my OS to windows XP because i have genuine windows XP from my Acer laptop..can i use the same recovery disk for my samsung laptop?
I am not much of a computer literate but i want to do it myself...is it easy to install the OS?

Hi TP! I need an advice. I'm planning of buying a notebook, yung maliit, for schoolwork. Medyo nakapag canvass na ako sa isang mall and I got interested sa dalawa: ASUS EEEPC 1025C and Lenovo IdeaPad S110.

Halos pareho lang specs nila: IA N2800, 2GB DDR3, 10.1" LED, Win 7 Starter, Bluetooth/Wifi/Webcam. Yung pinagkaiba lang ay sa ASUS 320 GB HDD while sa Lenovo 500 GB. May 500 GB din sa ASUS pero at a higher price(1k difference sa 320).

Hindi ko alam pumili ng notebook
Ang sabi sa akin, ASUS daw piliin ko kasi trusted na siya. Pero maganda rin daw kasi ang offer ng Lenovo (marami din siyang 'freebies').

Please help me.

Hi!

I used my Acer eRecovery Management to create a backup USB of my system. The Acer eRecovery enables the user to create a factory default back up and a drivers and Applications back up. I created the factory default back up on a clean USB first. Then I created the drivers and applications back up on the same usb. However, now I am having doubts if what I did was correct. Pwede bang pagsamahin yung factory default backup and drivers and apps back up on the same usb? I only saw one Recovery.exe file on the usb. I'm afraid na baka yung factory default backup was over written by the drivers and apps back up?

May epekto ba sa performance ngrouter yung age niya? Medyo nagloloko yung connection namin nitong mga nakaraang araw, at hinala ko ito yung probable cause.

6 years na yung wifi router namin.

Volume label is My Data.
One of your disk needs to be checked for consistency..... etc.

Parang ganyan..
para saan ba yan? paano ba matatanggal yan??? please help me IT peeps..

It means your OS is doing some checking on the HDD because of some activity that was done.

May happen when HDD shows sign of failing already, or if computer is powered off via switch instead of doing a proper shutdown.

If it happens often, may be time to backup files then replace the HDD.

I don't think the update is an issue. Nag-u-update ako ng Windows din pag meron bagong labas na downloads pero di naging issue yan.

It's a hardware concern.

Paayos mo lang muna yung saksakan or pa-reformat ka muna ng hard disk bago bumili ng bago.
