Can you upgrade graphics cards for laptops? My cousin recently bought a Samsung 300E4A-A04PH notebook and the specs are good and all save for the graphics card which is an Intel HD GMA 3000. It's really good for basic software and movies and stuff but my cousin is into games and I told him we need to have it upgraded.

I recently went to a few laptop specialists in Galleria and told me that having your graphics card upgraded is out of the question. It can be replaced but not upgraded. I did some research beforehand and a few sites told me it's possible.

Please tell me it can be upgraded and where could I have it done?

PS: While you're at it, you mind telling me where in Gilmore or Greenhills should I buy my PC parts? It's for my desktop and I want to buy a power supply, 2x4gb ram sticks, and a decent graphics card. My budget is TIGHTLY around 10-12k.

Try to reformat yung memcard mo using the digicam.

Most probably hindi. Usually HD at Mem lang upgradable.

Di ko sure sa presyo pero ang recommendation ko (based din ito sa recommended specs)

1. Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ 2.8 GHz (3k?)

2. 2 or 4 gb ram stick (more or less 2500)

3. Windows 7 OS (ipirata mo nalang LOL pero kung orig mga 4k ata or 5k)

4. NVIDIA GeForce 260 or ATI Radeon HD 4870 or better. (2.5k?)

5. Kahit 500gb HD na lang since alam ko 13gb space ang occupied ni D3. (2-2.5k)

6. Powersupply na at least 800w (3500. Cougar brand na may 80+ cert.)

7. Syempre, casing at sound card. Diskarte mo na yan pero I suggest magpatulong ka sa expert para di ka bumili ng sobrang liit o sobrang laki.

8. Monitor: bahala ka na rin pero maganda sana kung mas malaki. Usually mga 7k ang nakikita kong maganda pero it's up to you.

All in all: Mga 24k pwedeng pwede ka na mag Diablo 3 or any game na equivalent nito (which is a lot).

Kung may spare ka, si processor baka kaya mong gawing i3 or i5. Additional 3-5k pero at least di agad maluluma specs mo.

Check the power supply too. You may need a stronger one.

I'm running an i3 with 4 hard drives (1x1TB, 2x500GB, 1x250GB) on a 500W PS. Works so far.
