    What's up with Japeth Aguilar?

Been checking the box scores of Western Kentucky Hilltoppers since the 2008-2009 NCAA season started, correct me if im wrong but it seems that Japeth hasn't been fielded. I looked at their official roster for this season and he's included in the line up. Is he injured or he hasn't been fielded. If its the latter then sayang naman he's not getting the exposure and development needed.

Hay nako, mag-Ateneo na lang siya.
    Baka another 5.5 nanaman yan.

He's out again for three to four weeks due to a stress fracture.

Japeth's going to be a superstar if he makes up his mind and play here.

Just throwing out a hypothetical question here:

With Norman Black's track record of developing big men like Al-Hussaini, Arao and Kramer, do you think Japheth would have been better served remaining at Ateneo than going to WKU?

And turn him into a back-to-the basketball player? NO!

Nag-aadjust si Japeth Aguilar. Nasanay siyang center ang position niya sa Pinas. Sa Western Kentucky, ginawa siyang small forward.

honestly, i really have serious doubts on this kid already.. for the past 4 or 5 years, the kid hasn't played completely. in his rookie year in ateneo, he had appendicitis thus he didn't play the complete season. the following year, is a slight improvement.. he finished the season but i could only remember his blocks as his highlight. then he transfered to WKU. red-shirted for two years thus he didn't play competetive ball. when he was about to play, he suffered a season ending injury.. and now he is again injured..

sayang talaga si japeth. malaki sana upside niya but for me he hasn't lived to the hype.

Have to agree with spongklong. He really hasnt shown anything significant in terms of development. Until he plays a full season of competetive basketball and shows good numbers then he's basically all hype. Moreover his injuiriesin WKU all happened in practice and not even game situations. My opinion is he could have been better if he just stayed here, trained under Coach Norman and joined the summer trainings of ateneo in the states.

    • Japeth Aguilar saw his first action of the season with 2:54 left in the first half, sinking his first shot attempt of the year

    played 8 mins, registered 1 block and 1 t.o., had 0 rebound

media creation lang naman si Japeth. He never proved anything. Hanggang write up lang sya magaling. That's the awful truth.

bago kayo magsalita at magmarunong, i think we have to see japhet play first against the pinoy players here....

i think japeth is better off training with Toroman than forcing himself in the USA.

With the way japeth's career is going malabo na mag NBA yan. Kung gusto niya mag NBA talaga, dapat mag laro siya sa europe and dominate.

japeth would be back to manila by april. he'll try out for yeng's team..

its too late though, he must be very good to make the cut

    akala ko ba
    Japeth "PANG NBA" Aguilar!

    ^It's Jappeth's dream.
    It's the media's hype.
It's the people's mistake to believe in the media.

japeth is better than baclao defensively...

did you honestly think that japhet would make it in the NBA? did it come from japhet's mouth that he would play in the NBA?
