just want to post this Sirs and Ladies, GOOD NEWS... i JUST HAD my ANNUAL FEE WAIVED, it was the FIRST ANNIVERSARY, saw the Php2,400k on my bill. Called them and asked to have it waived, and much to my surprise (i was expecting a drawn out battle, in which i summon the supervisor, threaten to cancel and/or bargain) they said, "ok sir, may minimum spend req po tayo na (was expecting 180k a year, as per the brochure) but 5k lang daw, and apparently, I MET IT. so yun, without threatening or summoning the s'visor... APPROVED ang WAIVER ng CARD KO!! Thank God!!!

oo nga kahit hindi maapprove yan, ok lang kasi ang nakikita ko lang na benefit dyan sa cc nila eh kung parati kang nag shopping sa SM. pero kung hindi naman, huwag na lang.

Hindi sya pina fill-up, pinadalhan lang sya. Dii naman sya nag apply eh. Ganun din sa BPI, pinadalhan lang sya ng credit card ng di sya nag apply, pero yun BPI malaki limit 50k.

swerte naman ng bf mo. bakit kaya ang iba napapadalhan at ang iba hindi?

BDO ang sabe mo declined ako, ba't dumating ang black mastercard mo? Wala naman laman ang savings ko sayo. Happy na ako sa tatlo ko: Bankard, BPI at HSBC ko. Ayan at kanselado ka na BDO, para happy ang buhay ko. Vow.

last april, nagpdala ang bdo ng letter sa bahay about a dual gold credit card. akala ko hinihintay lang ako na tawagan o kontakin sila kung gusto ko ituloy na magkaron ng ganung card kaya di ko pinansin kasi meron na ako hsbc...then yesterday, nagulat ako pinadalhan ako ng bdo ng preactivated dual gold mastercard and amex which is di naman ako nagapply sa kanila...i think bago lang yata itong card na to which shares the same credit limit and isa lang ang babayaran mo na AF for the 2 cards...di ko pa alam kung magkano AF nito and i will keep muna together with my hsbc tutal waive naman ang first year membership fee...

meron po ko acct. for 2 years na din it is a kabayan savings account pero di naman kalakihan ang laman nun in fact lagi pa ngang zero balance...siguro isa ding factor kaya ako nabigyan dahil yung online facility ng bdo ang ginagamit ko monthly when paying my dues on my hsbc cc...

kahit after 6 months pwede pa din ipawaive as long as makaspend ka ng 5k in 1 month after ng anniv date mo.

for example.
june ang anniv mo. dumating si annual fee. binayadan mo yung 1500.

july - gumastos ka ng 3k lang.

aug - gumastos ka ng 6k. pwede ka na tumawag at ipawaive ang annual fee. pag approved. yung bill mo ng sept minus 1500 na.

ang alam ko hindi maganda ang Amex kasi hindi sya tinatanggap ng ilang stores. pina fill up ka ba ng form bago ka napadalhan ng preapproved na CC?

Naku, wala kakwenta kwenta yang AMEX na yan. Hindi magamit sa mga gas station. After 1yr ipacancel mo na lang yan or ipaconvert sa VISA or MC. Yung sakin pinaconvert to VISA.

Very bihira ang establishments na tumatanggap ng amex. Sayang lang tapos maya singilin ka annual fee kahit d mo mashado nagamit. Its really not worth having. Okay na yang bankard at bpi mo.

1. how much is the annual fee for the bdo dual gold cards? it is not indicated in the pamphlets that came with the cards although they say only one annual fee for both.

2. will they charge me with the annual fee even if i don't use the cards for a year?

3. will i have to use the cards before i can request a waiver of the annual fee?

4. can i request a waiver of the annual fee after one transaction?

5. is it worth using those cards (amex and mastercard)?

6. if i don't intend to use the cards, do i still have to call them to say i'll have them cut or can i just let it be and the cards will expire automatically if unused for a year?

1. The annual fee of bdo's gold mastercard is 2,400 pesos but since included ang amex since dual gold credit card ka it can be more than 2,400.

2. They shouldnt charge you an annual fee if hindi mo gagamitin ang card mo kahit once. Kahit worth 100 pesos lang yan.

3. Yes usually ang na a-approve sa waive for d annual fee eh usually yung gamit na gamit talaga ang card.

4. They would usually charge u d annual fee pag nag anniversary na yung credit card mo and mag a-appear yun sa bill mo and thats d only time u can request na mapa waive then if na approve you still have to pay for d annual fee and idededuct na lang nila yun sa next bill mo.

5. For me mas useful ang mastercard. Very bihira ang establishments sa pinas ang tumatanggap ng amex. Ang mastercard kahit san yan.

6. If ayaw mo gamitin ang card you have to call them and pa cancel mo right away and hindi siya na eexpire. automatic magrerenew nyan at padadalan ka agad ng new card after the expiration kaya you have to inform them. Sometimes pahihirapan ka nila during cancellation kasi they will do all they can to make u stay. They might offer you higher credit limit or kung ano ano pa. Minsan you have to follow up pa pa ulit ulit regarding that matter. Pero if decided ka talaga na wag gamitin you have to be firm kahit anong pag convince pa sabihin nila sayo.
