I have BPI credit card and I did not encounter any problems even once with their card. Been a cardholder for 8 years. What I like from BPI credit card is when I used it abroad. I intentionally use BPI credit card and other credit card at the same time when I'm abroad (I bought an item using BPI credit card and bought the same item again using other bank's credit card - other two credit cards) to see which bank's conversion to peso is the lowest, and BPI charged the lowest. I'm happy with that....

Hi I just want to ask kung ng Oct 30 ka nagbayad sa BPI ng 10K? Kasi usually nagiging available ang credit the next business day after the payment

Based on experience, BPI has one of the lowest peso-dollar conversion rates.

hi. i ranted too soon hehe.everything's fine the next day. yeah you're right, credit becomes available again by the next day after payment.

I also had some of my regular credit limit reallocated into SIP, and the procedure pala is very easy to do and it is the merchant's responsibility pala if i want that kind of transaction. i wanted tobuy a laptop kasi on 0%, 89-100 told me, that it is easy if i have a limited SIP and an available regular credit, the merchant calls 88-100 for approval and if approved, off you go with your new utang, that is, on installment this time,,hehe

guys, how will you know if your application has been decline. as far as i know, matagal talagang mag approve ang bpi ng application. Medyo naiinis na si hubby kasi eto talaga ang cc na gusto niya.

^Yung officemate ko pinadalan ng BPI ng invitation to avail their secured credit card. It means na declined ang application nya for their regular card.

May free perks na naman sila. I love their free perks, because everytime you go shopping using BPI Credit Card, you have a food for that day and you can claim it as many as you want in a day as long as you subsequently usage of their credit card. I remember last month when I bought an item and requested to the cashier to break-down the card receipts into 5 (P5,000 kasi), and I instantly have 5 baked macaroni from Greenwich. Magaling concept nila, because every BPI card holder is entitled for an instant reward/s for a low minimum purchase of only P1,000....

their online dashboard/myfortfolio, di naman updated. saka parang katangahan pa simple math, nakalagay reg. credit limit ko 30k. balance 7k (inutang ko) pero ang avail balance/credit (pwede pang utangin) 14k na lang!!ano ba yan!!

Php14,000 >>> This is your remaining credit limit

Php30,000 - Php14,000 = Php16,000 >>> This is the total amount you charged to your account, out of this Php 7,000 has already been posted in the BPI Online System. Your other Php 7,000 has not yet been posted in the system; give it 5 days maximum and this amount will be refreshed and you will see an accurate breakdown in your credit card account balance.

Simply put; BPI will know immediately how much is your remaining , so definitely you cannot overcharge beyond your credit limit. However it can only determine the details of your purchases in 3-5 working days...

Been a BPI credit card user for 4 years na and the only problem I encountered was when my card became unreadable by the several merchants' cc machines. I didn't realize that it was about time to request for a new card kasi pudpud na yung swiping area nung cc ko. hehe.

But to be honest, if you're looking for a low interest card, go for Eastwest Credit Card. Ito yung matagal ko na gustong applyan but since I'm unemployed right now, malabo ata mangyari sa ngayon. They have 2.25% interest rate on food, gas, drug store purchases while 2.75% on other purchases. Ang baba diba compared to 3.25% or 3.5% interest? But still, I haven't tried their services pa so I can't fully guarantee whether this is the card that's right for you.

^ ganito po ang tingin ko 30k ang limit niya. 14k ang available niya kahit approximately 7k lang ang balance niya kasi kababayad pa lang niya ng 10k (base po sa sumunod na post niya) and as per terms and conditions ng bpi " The Credit Limit is made available to the Cardholder on the business day following any payment while that of the supplementary cardholder shall become available only after the next cycle date." Ibig pong sabihin ay hindi pa available ang fund ng payment niya na 10k.
Sabi nga niya ng Nov. 4 avail na nga ang credit niya the next day after the payment. Pero 16k na po talaga ang balance niya (transaction na nagpost na/pending authorization or hold) sa account niya before her payment.

hehe. thanks pero ang credit limit ko po is 35k. sa ngayon lumiit na naman since i just purchased a netbook 0% interest. at ang sabi ng 89-100 kahit bayadan ko daw ng let's say 2 months worth of installment, my credit limit will still be the remaining balance less the netbook, unless i terminate the SIP agreement, which is charged additional 500 pesos max (or %%) plus your remaining SIP balance.

they also hinted i can have a bigger credit limit but i should wait for a month after the last credit limit increase.

BPI SHOPPERS’ SHUTTLE

PROMO MECHANICS

1. The promo is open exclusively to all existing cardholders of:

o BPI Express Credit (Classic, Blue MasterCard, Gold MasterCard, Petron-BPI MasterCard, Edge MasterCard, BPI-WorldPerks MasterCard and Corporate cards) in good credit standing
o BPI/BPI Family Savings Bank/BPI Direct Express Teller ATM; and
o BPI Express Cash



2. Promo period is from November 15, 2008 to January 4, 2009.



3. Cardholder must use any BPI Express Credit, BPI Express Teller or BPI Express Cash card within the promo period for a minimum single receipt purchase of P1,000 at any merchant to qualify for redemption of the free shuttle ride. BPI Express Credit cash advance transactions are also qualified for the promo.



4. Cardholder can avail of a free shuttle ride on all weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), from 12:00 noon to 10:00 PM, of the promo period by queuing at the designated BPI shuttle terminals near the featured malls.



5. To avail of a free shuttle ride, cardholder must present for verification the original transaction slip as proof of BPI card usage (minimum single receipt of P1,000) and the BPI Express Credit, BPI Express Teller or BPI Express Cash card used for the transaction to the BPI shuttle coordinator stationed at the designated terminal. Transaction date on the transaction slip should be within the promo period.



6. Cardholder must have the transaction slip stamped by the BPI shuttle coordinator before s/he may be allowed to ride the shuttle.



7. Cardholder can choose to ride a BPI shuttle at any one (1) of the following routes for every qualified transaction.

Route 1a: TriNoma-Gateway-Robinsons Galleria

Route 1b: Robinsons Galleria-Gateway-TriNoma

Route 2a: Robinsons Galleria-Greenhills-Shangri-La-Tiendesitas

Route 2b: Tiendesitas-Shangri-La-Greenhills-Robinsons Galleria

Route 3a: Tiendesitas-Market! Market!-Glorietta

Route 3b: Glorietta- Market! Market!-Tiendesitas

Route 4a: Glorietta-Robinsons Place Ermita

Route 4b: Robinsons Place Ermita-Glorietta

8. Only one (1) free shuttle ride can be availed per transaction slip. Should a cardholder decide to transfer routes or ride another route, s/he must present another transaction slip.



9. Cardholder can bring a maximum of 3 companions on the same ride provided that cardholder can present valid transactions slips equal to the number of companions and the corresponding BPI card/s used for each transaction.



10. Cardholder can take a free shuttle ride only from the designated terminals of the featured malls. Cardholder may request to be dropped off at any point along each shuttle route where unloading of passengers is allowed.



11. A single purchase transaction requires only one approval. Splitting the purchase into smaller transaction sizes which consequently requires multiple transaction approvals will not be allowed.



12. The free shuttle ride cannot be exchanged for cash, other products, or discounts.

ngek. anong promo nyan e ang rice cooker is really priced around that range. so does the clock. baka nga ams mahal pa yan.even the dvd player e at 1k with a 50k purchase is di na rin makatarungan.

anyway, i had a goldilocks binging spree yesterday because i was able to exchange 7 receipts. yun nga lang limited sa palabok, dinuguan and sago gulaman yung free. but hey no one's complaining. not me at least.
