Gold's Gym vs. Fitness First

Having tried both FF and Gold's, I think Gold's is way better when it comes to staffing kase they don't follow you around forcing you to buy their products (like personal training) tapos they design their gym in a way na dinidiscourage kang mag petiks petiks (e.g. wala masyadong place to lounge around). Though mas high tech yung mga equipment ng FF, it doesn't matter for me, I get what I need from what Gold's could offer. Meron din silang offer before na 17,000 a year ewan ko lang kung meron pa ngayon.

I go for FF since katabi lang ng condo. Advantage ng FF over Gold's gym are their group X classes, equipments and their strategic locations in Metro Manila (+other provinces). Mas mura nga lang ang Gold's gym.

Effective naman ang FF sakin, I already lost 32 pounds (from 240 to 208) and gained muscles too.

Ok sa Gold's waltermart. wala masyado tao. medyo maliit nga lang. But complete naman yung free weights so no problem with me. I'm not into machines na kasi.
another thing I like here is yung receptionist. she's cute and super friendly pa. Actually lahat ng staff nila mabait. All smiles lagi. Kahit wala ko sa mood napipiplitan ako mag-smile kasi they keep giving me smiles.

I used to be a member of FF SM north branch. For me dun yung may pinaka magandang layout ng equipments sa lahat ng FF branch na napuntahan ko.

Panget lang dun ay :
1.) Sobra daming bakla. Nakakakot sila makatingin
2.) Pag peak hours, nakakaubusan ng space sa locker, and equipments. Kailangan mo pa pumila at maghintay
3.) Yung staff nila ay hindi friendly. Sa tagal kong nagworkout dun, dawala lang yung lumapit sakin at tumulong sakin sa pag workout.
4.) Kailangan pa magdala ng towel. Hassle yun pag commute lang.
5.) Mahal ng monthly dues
6.) Laging may sirang machine.
7.) Walang consideration ibang members. Kung saan saan lang iniiwan yung mga dumbbell at weights.

Hindi naman ako nagkaproblema nung pinaterminate ko na yung membership ko.

i preferred FiFi over Gold's. Na-intimidate kasi ako dun sa consultant ng Gold's Gym sa Glorietta. Aside from that, mas accessible ang FiFi sa lahat ng pinupuntahan kong lugar. So far, wala pa naman akong bad experiences.

hello guyz muztah poh? guyz baka interesado po kayo na mag golds gym binebenta ko po kasi yung gift cert ko ng mura ng golds gym 3k only sayang naman po kasi di ko na magagamit kasi may pasok nako, baka gusto nyo po. 12 k plus pa naman mag pa member dun sa golds gym. kaya benta ko nlang ng 3 k yung gift cert ko siguro fair na yun kasi gift cert yun for 1 month sa gold gym. thnx poh just pm or post here kung interesado po kayo. salamat... god bless.

What I like about gold's gym is they have the ivanko rubberized dumbell. They are the best in free weights! imo

Does Fitness First have dumbbells up to or over 100 lbs?
Does Fitness First have squat/power racks and olympic bars?

I'v been a FF member for more than a year now, I've been visiting either FF MOA or FF RP-Ermita since I live somewhere in between them.

Though I prefer RP-Ermita since the space is bigger.

At FF RP-Ermita, Aside from the Location, I had no bad experience with the staff at the reception desk, they're professional and they smile and establish eye-contact when I hand over my membership card each time.

I had myself trained by a Gold level PT w/ their 1:1 program, cost so much, like P14,XXX for 18 sessions plus 2 free sessions by the PT. He was professional, as he instructed me what to do and the purpose it was for, such a team-player, somehow gave me more options and tips, things that I need to know that formed the foundation for the workouts that I now do alone after my sessions w/ him were complete. As he promised, I had seen improvements results.

GX, something I always thought that I wouldn't enjoy. I tried it just once, I was shy and situated myself at the back, then the next thing I knew I was addicted to it and now situate myself at the front part on each class. Les Mills Bodyjam & Body steps are two of my favorites. Stress-release.

Equipment are nice. I see the club manager on duty walk around checking here and there frequently.

So far, the locker area is big, and its aircon. My only complaint before was the CR, the urinals didn't have dividers, and it was so uncomfortable to pee without it, or is it because i got so used to urinals having dividers. But good thing their CR now has them.

The crowd, basically i don't care about the people around me. But so far, they're a bunch of smiling and happy people, though I prefer being alone without anyone with me because it offers me FULL concentration to what I'm supposed to do for the day.

Though at times the gym is full, but I go there in the early afternoon when most of the goers are still at work. So, there are only a few people at the gym that time.

I only visited MOA branch only a few times... and I didn't like the ambience there. It looked too crowded, complicated and really messy to look at.

i workout at GG under a corporate acct of my previous company.
But i aleady left my company , so my acct is no longer valid. IM thinking to register as a member , but i dont know the rates.

I also tried FF before. and facilities wise, mas maganda talaga sa FF. kaso puro sosyalan dun at s3x. hehe

Im also thinking about the LOCATION.. I now work at MCKINLEY HILL TAGUIG, so the nearest will be FF FORT.

kasi in demand sila kasi mura sila maningil kesa sa mga conterparts nila. most of them are descendants of farmers so come harvest time balik na ulet sila sa brazil.
