. lost my files. help! dunno where to find it
Wag ka munang magpavisa screen, magpavisa screen ka na lang pag may US employer ka na kasi yung visa screen certificate ay kailangan lang pag interview mo na sa US embassy. 5 years ang validity nya. Before ka makakuha ng visa screen, kelangan mo muna magtake ng IELTS Academic module, dapat 7 ang band score mo sa Speaking, yan ang importante sa US pero dapat not less than 6.5 ang overall band score mo. BTW, you will apply the visa screen cert sa CGFNS. Visit mo na lang cgfns.org para madownload mo yung forms for the education and local license verification forms.![]()
Hi guys. i recently passed the NCLEX exam last Nov2012 under the state of Vermont. My CVS application, which is the first step before reciprocity, for NY is already in process. I just want to ask you if what are the possible options I have to do in order to make my tourist visa into working visa in NY.. What are the things/documents i still need to work on or accomplish ? Thank you and Godbless!

Green Card processing takes about 6-8 years, and H1B visa application is VERY DIFFICULT to get, especially if you are being hired as a general Registered Nurse. Therefore, it is almost impossible for you to convert your tourist visa to working visa. Trust me, I know. I had H1B visa before (able to get it through supervisory RN position) but when my employer applied for renewal last 2012, the immigration is asking documents to prove many things. So I abandoned the application and went to where I am right now (and I'm loving it).
Marriage is one option. But I really hope you really love that person. Beware of marriage frauds.
I was told california board of registered nursing doesnt accept anymore any reciprocity. Is this true?
it's probably true to some extent. but i just don't see California BRN shutting the RN endorsement completely. they're probably just tightening their policies, esp for foreign nurses. because they can't just not accept applications from within the US. it's like saying to a fellow American "no, you can't move here, stay in NY or Kansas!!!". I think, if you still meet their requirements, like the SSN and concurrency rule, then you should be ok.
(oh, just want to say that the right term is endorsement, not reciprocity.)
