First Round is almost over....sino sa tingin nyo ang papasok sa final four ?....I think..i'm pretty sure :

    San Beda
    San Sebastian
    Letran

    last slot..favored ang Mapua.

otherwise either LPU, Arellano or St Benilde can sneak in thru the 4th slot..

  13. #1170

    Mapua fights for semis survival
    By JONAS TERRADO
    September 20, 2011, 9:45pm

Games Wednesday (The Arena, San Juan)

    10 a.m. — Letran vs EAC-ICA (Jrs)

    11:45 a.m. — MIT-Malayan vs San Beda (Jrs)

    2 p.m. — Letran vs EAC (Srs)

4 p.m. — Mapua vs San Beda (Srs)

MANILA, Philippines — Defending champion San Beda battles a team with a stronger purpose to win Wednesday when it takes on Mapua which is trying to hold to the fourth and last Final 4 berth in the 87th NCAA basketball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.

Letran tries to solidify its hold of second place against slumping Emilio Aguinaldo College in the other seniors game.

Though already in the Final Four – thanks to Jose Rizal University’s win over College of St. Benilde – the Lions are still expected to come out strong to make up for their shocking 76-65 loss to JRU last week.

Game time is at 4 p.m. after the 2 p.m. tussle between the Knights (11-2) and the Generals (4-10).

“We hope to get back on the winning track,” said San Beda coach Frankie Lim, who is hoping to draw consistent showing from Garvo Lanete, Dave Marcelo and Jake Pascual.

Lim will be playing the Cardinals who are holding fourth spot in the Final 4 chase, and with a 6-8 win-loss record, they are being threatened by JRU for the semis spot.

Jose Rizal and Lyceum are carrying similar 6-9 records.

Expected to provide the spark for the Cardinals is Fil-Aussie rookie Josan Nimes who came through with decent numbers in the team’s last two games.

The Knights will be missing center Jam Cortez but the boys of coach Louie Alas are still determined to stretch their winning run to eight.

Cortes was slapped a one-game suspension after committing his second unsportsmanlike foul during the team’s 88-74 win over Lyceum last week

Ang defending champion eh San Sebastian, hindi back to back, but they won 5 out 6 championships. Marami ata next season ang mawawalang players ( due to graduations, PBA draft, etc )sa mga top teams, SSC, SBC ,JRC and MIT. Ang Letran ata merong holdovers fro last season. . sa tingin ko ang St. Benilde ang sisingit na isa sa mga papasok kasi magiging veteran na mga players nila..IMO.

You got it mixed up. It was during the season 85 nag champion ang SSCR. Season 86 & 87 was the year of SBC. Hence, back to back

stuck up pa rin ng season 85. Well, experts say that people suffer from selective amnesia to deal with severe traumatic experiences,
