Need Help

hello. freshmen ako sa UP with a degree program of BS Math. medyo naguguluhan lang ako kasi hindi ko alam kung mag tatransfer ako sa UST for their Accountancy. Accountancy din kasi ang first choice ko di lang ako pumasa sa UP. tapos mahirap pa magshift sa accountancy sa UP.

ang worries ko ay yung job opportunities if ever bs math ako sa UP (kung papasa ako) compare sa accountancy sa UST (kung papasa din). gumawa na rin ako ng mga threads before para magtanong kung anu ba mga job opportunities for bs math graduates at naging malaking tulong naman talaga. tsaka isa sa dagdag eh yung nakakapang hinayang yung opportunity na maka pag -aral sa UP.

Matatapos na ang isang sem at di parin ako nakakapag decide. Ano kaya magandang gawin?

usually when you reach 18 years old tsaka mo lang malalaman ano talaga hilig mo, kaya may reason kung bakit may jr at sr high ang ibang bansa (unfortunately engot deped dito di nila nakita ito).

I suggest you go for what you want. Choose a course that you like (kahit interested lang) and at the same time a course that can actually give you a job. You went to college to earn money in the long run and it defeats the purpose if you take up somethng like AB Medieval History

You can never go wrong with a UP BS Math degree.

As for UST Accountancy, I'm not really sure kung same ang dami ng job opportunities with UP BS Math. I mean if you are really keen on practicing the accountancy profession and you think hindi mo kaya sa UP BAA magshift, then by all means lumipat ka ng UST. It is one of the best accounting schools there is. Sweldo-wise hindi ganun kaappealing in the short run, pero ok in the long run kasi maganda ang training.

Basta alam mo lang where to look and you have the proper credentials to back yourself. Hindi naman discriminatory against BS Math people ang multinationals, maganda kasi ang training niyo in terms of analytics.

Basta laude standing ka ng first year at mataas ang math grades mo (which should be the case kasi math major ka hehe), subukan mo na. Wala naman mawawala

dun ka na lang sa kung anu gusto mo at dun sa alam mo na kaya mo at bagay sayo. there are times na yung gusto natin, hindi pala bagay. like me, i took up BS ECE for 3 years,.. sayang lang yung panahon coz i realized na hindi pala bagay sakin yun.. im taking up accountancy na..

pag bs math kasi usually nagiging teachers/profs ng math heheh! based on observation lang sa mga kilala kong bs math ha..
