I presume you're referring to our bangkok plans with these dates? Im not positive yet if I'll be home then but will let you know two weeks in advance..di naman kailangan ng visa dun diba?

i guess, wanderer said it too that we are all workaholic and like what you said as well that we all rely with our respective jobs to support our travels..

maybe papayagan din akong magbakasyon but im working on it

Me! I haven't bought plane tickets for April 21 yet, so I can put that trip off! When are you planning to go!

And I love Lonely Planet! I met lots of cute backpackers in Thailand and Cambodia because of it! :P

wow, we have another taker, this is becoming a serious business. DO we start sorting out plane tickets now? start emailing the porters/guides , applying vacation leaves, and start buying fake north face?? lol..

SUPERPARADISE X, when is the decision be made?

yeah, i just found that, so it seems June/July is not a good time....Wel, Im up for October though

I don't mind October either. How long do you think the entire trek is going to take? And do you have lots of experience trekking? This is just going to be my first time, and I'm wondering how hard its going to be.

Ok pa rin namang mag-arrange ng climb until mid-May if you want to do it asap. Regarding the trek itself, depende sa package na gusto nyo. As far as I know if you want to reach the actual Everest base camp, the trek itself will be under two weeks. Plus acclimatization pa.

Dati po akong mountaineer na natigil ng ilang taon. I'm still reconditioning myself for EBC.

Stay 1 day or not in Kathmandu, its a dusty city, puno alikabok ilong ko. Fly all the way to Pokhara (for Annapurna trekks), or fly to Lukla for Everest Base Camp treks.

so kelan na tayo? by october....hmnnn...

maybe i cant join you guys...i will still try and go there...if the trekking is not feasible that time, then at least experience the countryside of nepal and maybe take a helicopter ride up there, wherever that maybe..

but let your comments coming...im just listening from here

A lot of tourists din naman do not necessarily go on trek specially to base camp. Most are content to explore Ktm and the nearby regions. May alternatives pa rin naman if you're not into trekking. Common tourist spots include Pokhara and Chitwan. Meron din daw bungee jumping and river rafting doon though di ko pa siya nakikita. Kaya if you guys ever decide to go this month or next, go lang. Mage-enjoy pa rin kayo kahit walang trek. Mas economical and feet-friendly ang plane ride if you just want to take a glimpse of Everest.

what about this? this is more relaxing? in one of my visits in galera - it was peak season then. beach is really crowded.

i prepared a beach mat for myself. then i laid down and looked at the stars. the wind is freely. the waves are happy. all other people around me are having fun. the wind, the starts, the moon - oh so, relaxing. then from nowhere, a cigarette butt was thrown to me.

there are just so many people lying also around me, why does it have to be me? a very relaxing night under the stars

    i think that's more funny

It appears that June/July can be a good time as well, less crowded , so we have the all the grandeur of Himalayas. If your interested and Im interested as well, we can push that out on that time, as my vacation was already confirmed on those dates.

no experience here too, but we dont climb a mountain anyway, we just hike on our own pace, it can be like a camping/hiking trip though we dont need to camp as accomodations are plenty through out the trail. We just have to give time for acclimatization.
