Beauty is defined by the dictionary as anything or any quality that pleases or delights the mind or the senses. Beauty is universal and manifests in so many forms (visible and invisible, physical and nonphysical, tangible and intangible). It is inherent and natural for humans or people of any race or nationality to be drawn to or to prefer, enjoy, and appreciate anything of beauty or anything that has beauty.

Speaking of major, national and global beauty queens, who are nonshowbiz celebrities and are also called beauty stars (for the word star also means a celebrity), they have these important social roles and functions for the country and for the world: as national or international ambassadors of goodwill and amity (as well as tourism), as national or global role models, as environmental advocates, as philanthropists, as humanitarians, etc.

This thread is not a common, vain, trivial, or frivolous "celebrity thread" (as it is the usual perception and impression of many intellectual people about showbiz celebrities), but this thread concerns with the presentations of objective, sensible, substantial, national and international news or issues on major, prestigious, national and world beauty contests-pageants, beauty queens and the reputable organizations they belong to, which have good and beautiful, noble and worthy causes and objectives that are of national and global significance and relevance (newsworthy) to the society and to the entire world.
